When playing the beta I looked for a description of the items and have no clue what a keycode is within a lockbox but it cost 1000 credits.

you get key fragments from doing arkfalls and certain missions, you get enough (I think 8 or so) it turns into a keycode. you pay for the box, and the keycode is to open the box.

key codes or fragments are rewards for doing various quests and arkfalls (not all). can purchase keycodes for 1000 crystals. lock boxes could be considered treasure chests. Its a chance(%) for rarer items but not garenteed.
I got an "Orange" or legendary shotgun from a lvl 4 lock box today. My only complaint with them is that I always got 2 or 3 shotguns per box this weekend. Seems they are a very high drop rate for some reason.
Where is a lvl4 lock box? I've only seen Tier 1, 2 or 3 and keycodes max at one so haven't been able to get anything other than tier 1Originally Posted by Sameas

how does one increase the amount of keycodes one can carry? just leveling?

On xbox and cant get bits currently also only is upto level 3 in online store on both xbox and ps3. Either I'm missing something or pc is different

Yeah on Xbox I think we can only buy Tier 1 boxes since our Keycodes max out at one. I'm sure we'll be getting the free 4000 bits in a day or so (Meaning we might get to buy Tier 2 and beyond).
Have you seen a tier 4 on xbox
