Perhaps this has already been said but...
Thread maker, you can't say 'it is a Beta things are going to change' then say 'the game is almost done so most of the problems are fixed.' That's mildly contradictory.

This is a Beta. It is for feedback. Forums are generally used for the negative feedback- issues people have. So of course people are going to complain. Complaining about that is silly, my friend.
Also, I'll join in on the last point. EGO's voice acting is pretty dismal. 'Living with it' should not be a consideration since everything should be par with voice acting standards. Honestly... saying 'live with it?' That's just silly.

Anyways, excited for the game I think. Still unsure whether I will get it because there ARE a lot of issues in this Beta, and I haven't seen anything from any later builds. So... we'll see.

Constructive criticism? That's not really wont most forums are about. I realize everyone's concern that with the servers down they can't play the beta to report bugs to be fixed and what not. What I do not understand is how you can say they are in production stage, which makes sense with only 9 or so days left. Yet no one seems to think that they are giving a beta not for bugs but to test the servers. This is xbox it handles battlefield and call of duty, not an MMO like this.

A forum doesn't have a singular purpose. I'm hardly seeing how constructive criticism, after a beta release, isn't warranted.

Trion will ONLY fix some bugs etc nothing more, you wont get more content at lunch then this. Like usual I would expect nitwit responses.

A beta is a beta, usually there might be a press release version that's a bit closer to a release candidate for paid reviewers.
That said this current beta is only a 4 month old engine in progression, and that's why it's quite promising to see the retail release version even more.

Cause clearly senie, you were never in the BF3 alpha/beta's either if you were to say something like that. In most occurances you would normally see in a pre-view beta the engine, and how it functions. The dev's would take some input from that build in-case they missed something, and most of all its a stress test for the dedicated servers.

Will I be buying Defiance? Most likely. I expect to derp a good 2-400 Hours, and it could go well beyond. So I value the price on how long I could be playing. Bf3? 700 hours in, and I am still enjoying it.

Loving it, I work in the IT industry I understand the limitations and what have you, Trion have taken (again) an amazing step to create something original, hopefully with a great story line (I don't doubt). Beta is beta I fill out the forms at the end of mission reporting anything I have found at fault completely knowing that others have been playing beta and alpha and likely already reported these things but why fix it in a beta and possibly the first patch - count productive if you ask me.

Im still loveing the beta going around looking for bugs and reporting them.
done this many times for other mmo's and there all the same thats why thay did a BETA thay dont want people getting frustrated the day of release.
cant wait for it to come out

You are not understanding much it would seem. Constructive criticism is good. My point was that the criticism is not constructive! I am perfectly fine with people criticizing the game it can only improve it. Explain to me though...saying your not getting the game due to some lag in a beta...how is that constructive?

Well thanks i enjoy being silly! You should try it some time people might like you more. My bad if i seemed to contradict my own words, it was not my intention. I only intended to state that yes, this is a beta and yes, the game is almost done so things that are wrong in the beta are more then likely fixed in the finished product. Why spend time perfecting a beta instead of the finished product? Also people should "live with it" referring to EGO's voice. I have spoken to many people who actually like it so some little try hard complaining, is as you say "silly". The chances of them changing it for a handful of people is ridiculous! && finally unsure of whether to get the finished game or not? I say you shouldn't, you've already set your mind on saying its a terribly bugged game. So don't waste your time. =]
