You ever think jobs prefer a race preference.

I'm not sure man, but i think some employers out there prefer a race when applying. This is the 3rd time i was denied, i know i was qualified for all of these jobs, none of the other people dressed professionally and had well typed resumes -.- this is my rant. I have all the experience and i have a clean background check

Unfortunately I think you're right. But it goes both ways sometimes, some employers will only hire minorities because they need to. So for every employer that doesn't hire minorities, there's another that will only hire them. You just have bad luck I guess.

I feel like that man, i have great references n everything. I noticed on every app theres a seperate section to fill out race and ethnicity. Im thinking of putting "prefer not to answer"

Yeah, always put 'prefer not to answer' when it asks. Also, make sure you have a local area code. I was rejected by every job because they thought i was out of state. Used my moms number once, had an interview the next day...

This. Becuase of affirmative action, sometimes you get hird based off being a minority, and becuase of racist people sometimes you get denied employment becuase you are a minority. in short life isn't fair and people suck sometimes.

There is only one race, the human race. The genetic factors that make one person's skin dark and another person's skin light, are no more or less prevalent then the genetic factors that determine whether or not two different Caucasians will have blue or green eyes. Its called genetic variance. You are more likely to take on the traits that appear more often within your gene pool.

"Race" is a social construct. Race as a genetic marker has no value in the scientific community. Any half decent biologist will tell you the same, but I digress.

To answer your question... does it happen? Of course. I blame our education system and its lack of attentional to advanced sciences. Not enough science = really stupid people.

On the other hand, if you had all your stuff together and looked professional they might have thought you were overqualified, in the sense that after they finish training you you're going to get bored and find a better job.
