Is there a way to hotswap loadouts?

I like to use a shotgun/sniper rifle so I can just quickly switch to the shotgun when the enemies get closer to me, but I also like to use my detonator and bmg in certain situations. My loadout 1 is with the shotgun/sniper rifle and my loadout 2 is with the detonator/bmg. Is there a way to swap between the 2 without going to the menu?

Nope.... there is a reason why we only have 2 weapon slots instead of 4
we are not supposed to switch loadouts mid-fight (but still are able to, if we take cover and are fast).
Make you choice pre-fight, and if you realy want to switch mid-fight, then you have to suffer a little bit because of switching.

Hit the L key, click on a numbered character tab. click L key again to return. Takes about three seconds to swap loadouts. Probably not a good idea to do it while under fire though, Hide behind something.

A slightly faster way is to hit L then the number of the loadout you want then esc. But I'd like to see a keybind for the loadouts.

I don't think it would be a massive change to how the game works if they allowed loadout hotkeys. If you're fast, you can bring up a menu and select a loadout in 2-3 seconds, but it's disorienting to lose your field of view while combat is going on.

If that 2-3 seconds is an important penalty, then give it a cast bar or something and require me to stand still while my loadout changes. I don't mean to demand changes this close to release, and I don't mean to sound like I'm grumbling. I was kind of just hoping there was a way to do it that I didn't know about.

I wouldn't mind a quick swap myself either. Questing on my own i for the most part do not need to swap weapons but when doing the bigger arkfalls and stuff it seems we tend to have to fire a lot more bullets than is actually given to us in drops and so i eventually have to switch load outs because i run out of ammo. Now eventually run out of ammo on that load out also... which means a run to a ammo station but thats another thing all together.

I would agree with a loadout hot swap with a timer on it so that it is not an instant thing maybe have to stand still for 2 seconds and not get hit or something like that lol
