How to get legendarys

Is there an easier way to find a legendary weapon without having to buy lockboxes. Can't you get them in an arkfall or something. Please help with info you may know or suggestions that trion should do.

I've heard it rumored they can drop from ark falls. Never seen a first hand experience though. Personally I believe if it is possible it is only a 0.001% chance in order to promote people spending money on bits for lockboxes. Shady practice in my opinion.

The lockbox system sucks. Big time. The fact that there is no other way to get a legendary weapon other than that is a major problem with this game. You can open dozens of T4 lockboxes in a row and still not get one. I know, its happened to me.

One idea would be to have the reputation vendors carry one or two legendaries each, maybe have them change every so often. Right now, the best stuff they offer is basically crap compared to the occasional purple you can find at a vendor (and you can at least trade those) so there isn't much point to even doing the contracts for me anymore. Put a legendary in those reputation vendors, and you cure two problems with the game at the same time.

Or, how about "Legendary Drop Weekend"? Have the arkfalls, major bosses, etc. give you a chance to get an orange drop. It could be a small chance, but make it a real one - so that people will actually document that it is working. I bet that would keep people playing all weekend.

I was going to reply with something like.. close one eye, hop on one foot, but it's really just luck.

All my legendary weapons came from Teir4 lockboxes

My one legendary grenade was a drop off of an ordinary mob down in the mines that lead to Jackleg Joe.

There is a sure fire better and faster way to get not only Legendary's but the one's you want!!
Instead of scrapping everything for salvage and trade it in for keycodes to waste on lock boxes for much less salvage .... just play the game. As you do you will aquire scrip. Sell your loot instead of breaking it down. You get more scrip. You can use that scrip to purchase the exact item you want!! I played like normal and just vendored some items and 50k last night... 5 nights and you have 250k ... to do with as you please.

The Boxes are a gamble and as such are supposed to having a miserable chance.

Arkfalls award a Tier 2 box upon completion as well as sieges. These do in fact have the same chance for a legendary as any other Tier 2 Box.

I got my first from a Tier 4 Lock Box and seconds from a Tier 3.

I do both scrip and ark salvage to find more weapons. I like the idea of legendary drop weekends, that migh be a raging success, but hiw will they divide the weekends. Because u think it should be when they have bonus loot weekends

Hard Work and Dedication. . . a little luck helps too! mainly just open t4s, your odds are not a 100%! so this can take 100s of T4s

I've received about 9-10 legendaries all from T3's up until they "fixed" the loot tables a few weeks ago now I only buy T4's and I think I get an orange every 3rd or 4th one these days. That been said most orange weapons are nothing to get excited about there is hardly anything legendary about them compared to a similar purple or blue ( even if by chance you did get something good just wait a week or two they'll nerf it to near useless anyways).

I bought 4 lockboxes today. each time I bought a tied 3 and 2 in one buy. I got an orange shotgun. So I did it again. Same way. Bought a tier 3 and 2 in one buy. Got an orange SMG. So im sticking to this method when buying lockboxes.
