Edit: i should also mention that sex and relationship is a big part of human and votan culture. It would b dumb if no one in the show had sex or got intimate.

Sex in a show does not bother me. But the sex in this show, seems to be used more like sex in desperate housewives and less like sex in action shows. It does not seem like any of the sex scenes are really about sex, except for a couple times in the first episode or two. They are now all used to add a chick flick feel to the show.

Sex scenes do not bother me in other sci-fi or action shows ever. They do in Defiance and I did not realize why until I started reading this thread and started thinking about it. If they have to have sex scenes then they should at least make them about sex.

This post is invalid if you haven't seen it and are basing an opinion on another's post while posting in a shooter gaming mmo site that has little "story" without the show.

I believe there is more here to just "sex" some (very few) are on about, me smells a bit of phobia creeping in.

Nobody wants to say it, but you've nailed it. Every time I read a comment around these parts about how disgusting the scenes are, it's always in reference to sex that is interracial, or same gender. Even if there isn't any actual sex, just some light petting and lady kisses, there's a problem.

Yep - but thankfully the show, actors, creators, syfy, and general public do not feel the same.

The sex/sexual references. I can't stand them. I think every episode has either had a sex scene or a few sexual references. I just feel like they put it in there for no real reason other than a case of having nothing else decent to put in.

To me it just feels out of place. Most of the main cast have had some sort of on-screen sex and we're only 7 episodes in. And now tonights Ep has them talking about the g-spot and some female on female kissing... REALLY!?!

I wan't a decent storyline and some good action. I couldn't care less about the sex. I didn't mind the mayor's sister when the show first started but now she just pisses me off. They should just kill her and every other wh0re in the show off and focus on some decent storyline.

Dialogue escapes people it was the visual (and that was unfortunately lacking tee hee) - or they just aren't really watching it and want to come over and complain - Million Moms is proficient in that, they just complain without really using the product or know what they are even on about.

While I may have issues with some of the content (no, I don't have an issue with interracial sex scenes, just when the character seems to be about 14-15 years old), I don't have a problem with it in general as long as it is in some way moving the story/plot/character development along.

In other news... I do get a little disturbed when people start throwing around phrases like "kill all the wh0res".
