i have no ingame friends so i'm sol. also in shadow wars the draw distance is so pathetic i don't see the cerb till after he has ran me over. yesterday i tried to camp very nearby C with derailer and someone captured it and i couldnt see them even though i was very close to it(with a sniper) also in shadow wars i can confirm they MUST be on vehicle when it blows up but in freight yard you can blow up any vehicle person on it or not for that pursuit

there is actually a thread somewhere on these forums started the other day about someone else talking about how poor the view distance is. mabey its just PC im not sure. i pretty much dont see vehicles at all untill someone gets off of it or kills me with it

Call it cheating all you want, but the game allows it. A clanmate and I knocked it out between two Shadow Wars one day. If you care about doing it "legit", by all means continue hoping and waiting someone will come along and you kill them in time. If you care about getting the pursuit done though, I suggest using this method.

I fully expect hissing and gnashing of teeth at me for this, but I don't agree about the contracts. This game is incredibly easy. These daily contracts are one of the few challenging things in the game period. Maybe the problem isn't with the contracts but with you guys. Maybe you're not aggressive enough to stay focused and knock out those kills; maybe you just suck at pvp in general.

If your situation is that someone is being a **** and purposely getting the Cerberus stuck or destroyed, try queue'ing up with a friend or three and everyone focusing on getting any seat in the Cerberus, and then rotate depending on who still needs kills. I.e. try using some teamwork.

If you do see someone purposely destroying/getting stuck the Cerberus, report them, that's blatant griefing and Trion would probably do something about it if you let them know.

I'm not sure what exactly you people want instead of 10 turret kills - kill 50 enemies on PvP every day or something like that? Idiotic players wait 10 minutes for Cerberus with or without that contract - TRION can't fix those guys.

What about the scumbags who get into the drivers seat as soon as the match starts, drive behind the building in spawn and then just stay sitting there for the entire game?

They are effectively crippling the team as your down the cerebrus which is an effective assualt tool for point caps, then you have players spawning into turrets and spending the rest of the game arguing with the driver in team chat instead of playing.

And most frustrating of all, even though they contributed nothing to your team, the driver still gets the standard 9.5k xp & 2 keycodes when the game ends.

It may just be my perception, but it seems to me as if the auto lock-on has been slightly tweaked, i.e. you need the reticule much nearer the target before the little bug(gers) start to auto hit.

This contract really disrupts gameplay on Freight Yard. I'm not blaming others for waiting for the Cerberus, as I'm guilty of doing just that myself (at least I cycle between the 2 turrets and the driver seat, not everyone does that). It's the only way I have a chance of completing this contract within a reasonable amount of time. But I've also played matches where most of the other team is doing that, and we end up with a boring 9000 to 2000 victory. Contracts should be an incentive to play the corresponding activity in the way it is meant to be played.

I would really appreciate it if that contract were replaced by something like "Win 2 capture and hold matches", or "Record 10 captures in capture and hold matches".

Not have any daily quest broken easily by other people being silly.

Removing this daily and putting anything else in its place IS something Trion can do.
Not have 10 player kills with a turret and have anything else, especially when the challenge for map is 25
In fact kill X amount of anything and return to quest source is old like 1980's old. We moved on.

Have Factions require "EFFORT" style quests.
For example Today Faction X wants mutants killed in Marin ... You get something per mutant. For that day, area.

So I can't blame people waiting for this Turret mini game but if you think Trion can not adjust something in it's own game that is not working you have not played an MMO style game before.

Trion CAN indeed fix these people by presenting them with another .. better option.

The Daily Vehicular Manslaughter 10 Turret Kills in Capture and Hold

People sitting waiting around for their shot at getting a turret ... there's five people at the spot waiting for it to re-spawn.
Its very common to see this happening
Somebody outraged because of this "Waiting" and never drove the Cerb out of the spawn area effectively locking our side down.

Worst bit is no one cares,
People waiting are getting xp and codes and a fast lose.

Not much fun for everyone who does want some action ....
It's bad enough people do this anyway so they can work on their pursuits. That just amplifies it. Especially, and I've seen this happen, a guy doesn't get in the turret, so he runs into the pit and kills everyone to try and get it on respawn by waiting for someone to hop in it and grabbing the queue slot.

I'd change the PVP dailies to:

    1) Kill 15 players
    2) Kill 5 players with EGO power active
    3) Kill 5 players while in a vehicle
    5) Win 1 capture and hold
    6) Win 1 deathmatch
    7) Participate in a Shadow war

This kind of thing is the spirit of PVP dailies I've seen in other MMOs. They should be quick and not something you need to run 4-5 matches to complete.
