    Red stuff

I know people have already said that red items fall from the sky when an arkfall thing happens. Something like that. Does it mean anything when the enemies (like mutants) drop red items? I wasn't sure about that one. Also, it's possible this doesn't have anything to do with the red stuff, but I am wanting to collect scrip, right? When the green currency, or the gem kinda stuff appears, what do I do with that? I started playing on 22 March (the earliest date I could start), but I feel I have missed a lot of details.

Your avatar pic and name fit you nicely. Red stuff is salvage material, i believe used to mod weapons, and green currency is I'm not sure.

I thought red stuff was possibly salvage material, but when I tried to modify stuff it didn't let me do anything to anything. Yeah, I thought my name might suit me nicely. That's why a long while back I got an eeyore tattoo. Not this picture. He was gray, and sitting on his tail so it wasn't visible. The gray faded very quickly though. However, my tat isn't the subject. Hahaha. :P It's just that I couldn't use salvage material to modify anything. You would think a machinist could figure out a way to use it.

If you collect enough of the gem stuff then you will get a key-card (I think). I have not seen any red items fall from the sky, so far the only way that I have collected them is by killing enemies and picking them up from the floor. The red stuff is the green currency (I just picked the red stuff up and it added to the green currency). You can use it to modify your weapons by adding attachments.

Ah, I see. Do you have to be at a certain area to modify stuff then? Have you been able to do it? I haven't.

The red maker on the map is Arkfalls, those fall from the sky. They are usually weird red crystal shape symbol and when you look at it on the map it is surrounded by a red circle. Also I haven't tried to modify anything, so I'm not sure if they allow us to do it in the Beta.

if we are able to modify stuff I think going to the vendor in the farm (where you first meet the sheriff cooper) has some parts to modify, not really sure how it works but definitely go there and give it a try.

I have fully modded my LMG (I am a machinist too). To modify your gun you first have to have attachment slots on it. To add attachment slots you have to un-equip it from your loadout(s), then you have to go onto the salvage matrix and select your weapon. After you have chosen your weapon click on [Add attachment slot]. This will take 10 minutes to complete and will add 1 attachment slot. Keep doing this until you have 4 slots or have ran out of the green currency. You can buy attachments (muzzle, sight, magazine and stock) from the vendor at Iron Demon Ranch. They do different effects to your gun depending on which one you buy.

You should buy one of each: Sight, Magazine, Muzzle and Stock before you attach any because you cannot keep attaching different ones. Once you have put on the attachments then you will have to break them to change attachments so it is best to add all four at once.

thanks because not even I knew how to do it.

I had previous knowledge off someone else doing it and was going off of that.
