Thought mics were disabled for the beta least that's what I saw others saying. If they do then here's hoping it will go through smoothly for the full release.

Mics aren't disabled for the beta...they sometimes work... for a minute or two. They say they have the mics fixed for the release version - though I guess they're not going to bother including this important fix in the current beta.

I don't blame them. The game comes out very soon and it takes a LOT of time and money to update stuff on the consoles. Doesn't make business sense to pay the money for something that probably wouldn't make it out in time for the BETA when you can just tell people *gasp* that its fixed. Sometimes, it is ok to take a developers word for it.

Or if you don't want to take their word for it.. Just wait till its been out for a week and pay attention to the threads. If people are still complaining about it then you know.

I personally like the game and have decided myself that Trion doesn't tend to be the type of developer that says one thing but means another. They tend to shut up about stuff when they don't have an answer...

Ah haven't heard much on a mic though if I did it certainly wasn't long and I probably thought it was just the game audio :/

Yeah I get a good feeling form Trion especially looking around the forums and reading various posts here and there. Feels like they'd try and go that extra mile to make sure things work and roll out smoothly. The fact that the consoles get a beta and that they had several betas make me feel like even if any problems arise they will be ironed out rather fast.

Yeah, that was my plan exactly. I'm going to check out the game's official forums on release day and see if there are still complaints about the mics (and the grouping system which is also still a bit wonky). If those two issues seem to be fixed, then I'll buy the game. If not... I'll just play wait and see.

The people that do buy the game on release day... it would be helpful if they noted changes from the beta (ie:the mics being fixed or not fixed) on the official forums!
