I find it funnier that people aren't even aiming, they just spam all over the place. You can tell because they are still firing off rockets and grenades for almost 30 secs after everything has died.

Wait, its not dudebro cool to use AOE weapons against tightly swarmed mobs? Who knew... what should we use oh wise guru of epic awesomeness? Real dudebros only use sawn off or would that hit to many mobs? I know, lets all use .45s... no wait, that would be lame cause it can knock a target down... revolver okay? I'll reload after every shot.
Seriously, right weapon for the right job... explosives for zombie swarms. Right weapon.
Only time I feel like I can use them.
Has the irony of using infector's on infected enemies struck anyone else's funny bone? Just curious, normally do seiges with a ground-pounder and a saw, love it.
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."
UnknownEntity's annoying *** uses them everywhere. They do it so they don't have to work for kills. I literally deal 90% of the damage to a huge group of enemies and it's just explosions everywhere.
Siege without a bunch of people using Detonators? 200+ kills. Siege with people using Detonators? 90, maybe. We also get through the waves a lot slower because no can see **** and enemies are bouncing everywhere. Stage 6...really. I know you guys need to level your weapons, but come on. Roll with two SAWs and become a walking army.
Right now I'm mostly trying to keep my distance from all the blast radius shenanigans in sieges, by using a TACC AR (0 falloff ftw) and a wolfhound for crits.
I'm not above lobbing a pyro 'nade in there though, because there's nothing quite as cozy as a big zombie fire.
I prefer the grenade shotgun over an actual detonator.
Anyways, the AE perks are just too darn good to pass up. I run with a SAW and that shotty and I've top-scored several sieges now. Constant grenade damage due to mad bomber, and high AE damage when hitting packs of mobs.
I think we probably won't have as much AE spam once the Volge come into the picture. The zombies are probably in some respect a stress test of how many enemies they can throw at us at a time without the game crapping out.
