tips for a new pc gamer- (me)

So after much anticipation I finally get my laptop delivered tomorrow,and well im looking for tips,game recommendations and such,I already know I wanna get starcraft and guild wars 2,but any suggestions you guys can throw my way would be mucho appreciated -

Killing Floors is a fun and simple multiplayer game to romp around in, it is wave based shooter. Minecraft is like crack in pixel form. Amnesia is the greatest horror game ever made, and the sequal is coming soon. Skyrim is pretty gnarley with all the mods you can get. Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider if you want very high quality story games. Dishonored is another gem. But if you want a truly amazing gaming experience, your going to have to get a PS3, and get The Last of Us!

Diablo 3

Not much of a PC gamer, but so far Starcraft 2 has been fun. Diablo 3 was fun for about a month. Now I am playing Defiance which has been a lot of fun. Funny how I keep using the word fun.

League of Legends.

SC2 was decent enough, but i'm holding off until they release all 3 races in a discounted battle-chest bundle, really. so another 8 years, heh.

Tera Online is free to play now, as is Secret World.

Can't go wrong with Plants Vs Zombies, hehe.

I've been playing mmos since i was a kid. Right now i say Star Wars KOTR is pretty good. Don't fall victim to WOW though. League of legends is repetitive gameplay and the matches are 30mins-1hr long, so i'd stay far from that. My top mmo's that i play right now is Star Wars KOTR, Final Fantasy XI, and Aion. Keep in mind though, this is only an opinion and shouldn't be taken personally.

well, to be fair, before defiance, I was all skyrim, and before that, I was fo:NV. really depends on what you are looking for. D3 was kinda Meh. not as replayable as I would have hoped. never got into the starcraft or CoD stuffs. really hasn't been good pvp stuff since Shadowbane, TF was ok, but it's also older. different genre..
someone threw out the obligatory PvZ.. and yes, that was kinda fun.
