I've a feeling they're not releasing any info, because no matter what info they give, people will flip out.

If they say "it'll be ready in two weeks", and it's a minute late, people will freak out.

If they meet the two week deadline, and anyone finds a single bug, people will freak out saying they rushed it.

Any action they take, will hurt the community. It'll be ready, when it's ready, and people will return when the DLC is released. It's not like people are cancelling subscriptions, or are wasting subscription time waiting for the DLC.

They are not providing info, because there is no concrete info, it's not like baking a cake, you can't just look at the stove to see how much longer it'll take. Some bugs may take time to fix, and that time is uncertain. Better they take their time now to fix as many as they can, and polish it to the best of their ability, than to rush it out the door and have people complaining.
Your Challenger won't drive? You're probably in the passenger seat.
Can't sell/delete an item? Check all of your loadouts, it's likely still equipped.
Auction house? Why? It'll just render bits purchased lock boxes pointless, and weapons are mostly equal anyway.
Gear/enemy progression? No thanks, it'll only render 90% of the content trivial when you reach the highest zone.

I think it may be because of them being cautious of public backlash for releasing it before major bug fixes are taken care of.
I think postponing it until those bugs are fixed is a good idea.
If they release it before the major issues are taken care of......it's more things that can go wrong. Think of building a house on a broken foundation.
(Or maybe an expansion onto a house with damaged support beams?)

Point would be to wait for the major fixes, than fix where it would cause issues in the DLC before it gets released. After all......we've all seen how things wind up when new things are rushed in.

Would make sense. If they're "fixing" of a bug didn't involve reviving previously fixed bugs and introducing at least three more. Every. Bloody. Time. Id rather they give us more to do with the semi annoying bugs as they are now than try to fix them and break the game even more as they've been doing.

As much as it's needed I am in no hurry to see the failure of DLC launch, the introduction of new bugs, the long day of downtime, that will all come from this.

Don't hate me...you know it's going to happen.

I don't want the DLC to release, because at this rate, and given Trion's track record, it'll break the game permanently.

Exactly. That would definitely cause an uproar........err.......even more of an uproar than the current record.

I have a feeling that they are not saying anything because all it will be is more reused and retextured hell bug mission, and the human model retextured white. They want us to be in awe when they release this new content!

Releasing the DLC = No more PvP, every arkfall and siege is bugged so that they can't be completed, all loadouts completely reset every 5 seconds, and on top of everything else we will all have to stand on top of each other at the New Freedom Crash Site and twiddle our thumbs waiting for the servers to come down for a week and a half.

Respect is a 2 way streak trion has chosen lately to dodge answers by saying soon or sometime shortly and is losing customers with the lack of info or "we are so excited for when it comes out but no date set yet".

I feel they just set us up to get excited and then when it comes out we will just be disappointed just like one of those awesome movies you see adverts for its the best!!! you have to see it then when you see it your like FML why was i so excited for that garbage. Don't get high expectations this way you will avoid dissapointment i expect the worse when it comes to Trion as every patch so far has done nothing but break the game and fix half the flaws they opted to do while creating 2 dozen more.

Expect the worst hope for the best
