Well 95% of America wanted revenge when 9-11 went down. Marines and the Army are the ones who were sent. I'm sure that the families who were involved in the collateral damage, wept with joy to see us invade and years later take down several of the ones responsible. Soldiers get no respect from civilians when they come home. Americans are cozy and complacent in their homes. Outside the borders, the people we take down, want to do things to you all that are so horrible that if you heard about it, youd faint after puking. Yes... Men join the military to be soldiers. Not to be college students, not Toys for Tots participants, & not to look pretty in uniform.

Civilians play video games, play being soldier, and watch war movies, Oooing and Ahhhing at each time someone is Hollywood killed.

I am 26yrs old and have friends getting out of the armed services from actually serving in tours and not one of them have gloated about what they have done. Some of them have taken lives over there and not one of them ever gloated about it. They feel sorry that it happened and have thought time and time over about the persons life they took's family and if they could of done something different. But they couldnt because it was either them or the enemy whos gonna live. They hate being put in that situation. Its a neccessary action they had to take but they sure are not proud of it. They sure are proud of fighting for this country but never proud of taking a life. They are proud to protect each other, because over there thats all you have is each other.

And for the record - 1991 - 2000 British Army, Royal Anglian Regiment, 2nd battalion (The poachers), C Coy (Serving under C/Sgt Clive Brazier) .. Served in Bosnia as part of the UNPROFOR and Sierra Leone attached to IMATT. M/D due to serious injury.

Rangers in Iraq in 02 also served in Afghanistan. I know marines because I have fought beside some of them.
