Pre-order thru steam for extra rewards..

i recently notice if you pre-order the game thru valve's steam software there is a chance to get some extra rewards..
more people pre-order from steam, more rewards everybody gets... kind of nice deal wanted to share with the community =)

The game is 20 euros more expensive on Steam than elsewhere and that's why I'm still thinking whether I should buy the Steam version or the standalone version.

Unless their counter is broke, no one is preordering through steam, heh. It's a shame, if those bonuses were even close to being unlocked I'd preorder through steam, as it stands I'm going to preorder through amazon because i have amazon gift cards to use and only $58.00 on my one visa gift card.

I had considered it, but the dollar value of those rewards is (to me) simply not worth having to always load Steam in order to load Defiance once the game goes live, or deal with Steam's server problems during Summer/Winter sale periods.

The "Steam Powered" title aside (which I would never use), the 5 inventory slots has a value of around $1.30? You can just buy inventory expansions in the cash-shop after.

And the A-Tex Growler quad.. you get one of those for free as a mission reward just outside the tutorial. On top of that, any pre-orders (regardless of retailer) receive the Charger, which (in my opinion) is much cooler, faster, and more useful than the quad.

Those Steam rewards are pretty lame. :/ Tier 3 sounds more interesting, but I don't see them getting there in time. And dropping Rift in as the Tier 2 reward was a mistake, in my opinion.

Glad to see it jumped to 76% on the first tier. It was stuck at 30-40 for about a week.

I didn't order on steam, but glad that all those people that expected those extra rewards won't be let down
