Seems like a bad marketing scheme to me. If the reward bar had reached tier 3 already, more people would pre-order the game.

I have no idea why buying through STEAM would provide more rewards. Trion takes a money hit on the purchase, yet they give out more items that would take bits to aquire in the online store. Trion should offer more rewards for cutting out the middle man and receiving ALL the money instead of kicking back a fee to steam.
