I threw my Steam Preoder in today, got back to the page and reward 1 was unlocked, here's to hoping we get the third, as I don't play rift anymore.

If only! Steam will put it right in your library unless you had previously registered it through them. That means, if you didn't have it before, you're stuck with it now.

I was talking to a GM about this during the beta, they said that if you have got your code through steam when u install the game, and then signed into your trionworlds.com account and redeem the code you have, then when game is released your account will be entitled to play. Due to it being a pre-order code aswell it means you get the charger mount too.
On Steam if you'd like to activate the codes of Defiance press the link: "CD Key" on the right in Steam and activate those code(s) on Trion-Worlds link: https://defiance.trionworlds.com/com...m-voucher-flow
If it works it should show it below that you've activated the Steam Preorder and Deluxe Edition (if you ordered the Deluxe Edition ofcourse)
If i was steam marketing manager, i would just manipulate defiance to top 10 aswell, more ppl will buy it when they thinks its so succesfull and it helps masking faster bonus progress. I basically pre-ordered on steam for two main reasons...
1st - In brazilian currency it costs R$99,90 that is about US$47,00 (Standard) and R$169,90 that is about US$81,00 (Digital Deluxe) and I pay as a local transaction, so I don't have to pay one brazilian fee international transaction (called IOF which is 8% + tax. Which would make the game price higher) so if I ordered in anywhere else I would pay the regular price + brazilian government fees.
2nd - Phoenix Sniper, while playing the beta, I found Sniper rifles much more practical early game and I suppose Phoenix is going to be better than the one you get if you choose Suvivalist background... I still don't know how this pre-order weapons gona work, but would be great if they could progress with the player (like the Xenofire Gun in Fallen Earth, that evolves according to your level or like some weapons in Borderlands 2 like the Contraband Sky Rocket granade that has no level and it damage is based on players level).
3rd, 4th and 5th reason would be the inv slots (more space is always useful), chance of extra content and another free game (maybe doesnt pay off nor we gona reach tier 2, but in case of... more is always welcome) and the archievements/playtime record...
I personally think TF2 content and steam personalized outfits in-game for defiance would be beyond awsome... Maybe a STEAMpunk armor for the ark hunters or a Gordon Freeman outfit with a crowbar (hey dreaming is allowed!) and for TF2 something like a Hellbug plush hat or an infector/bio-magnetic skin for weapons would be uber cool... All those things were already made, in fallen earth we won a crowbar with a HL reference quote and a Steam logo t-shirt... And for pre-ordering games from brink to counter-strike global offensive to tomb raider they gave TF2 content... Yeah sounds stupid but some people like me like such kind of treats...

grinding to max level is long grind and i prefer every boost i can use...
i know you can buy boost from the item mall in-game but extra 20euro for all the **** it comes with sounded nice deal to me..
