I haven't seen any scores with numbers like this. Most so far have been a little over 2mil. I myself have managed 2mil a couple times--sometimes barely scratch 200k and am top scorer) Not sure of the mechanics behind the score.

And another question: is shard population grouped with like rated egos?

My EGO is 1205. I guess I have something to look forward to?

Ego doesn't really matter. If ur one of the many ppl using detonators u will never get scores this high. Best advice I can give u is use a AR/LMG for the enemies and a high crit/large mag weapon for the weak spots on the crystal. I personally use a Saw and wolfhound. My personal best is over 6mil with this setup

Thanks. I'll look at the pistols again. I use a SAW and ground pounder right now. It just seemed like against monarchs and warriors the GP was giving me better DPS when soft spots weren't exposed. Also the splash works great when they bunch up. (I don't usually use it near the crystal so don't yell at me for killing the skitterlings)

I prioritize soft targets first of course then archers and blast pods/ skitterlings on (Blue falls) I also use the stowed reload perk so I'm never stopping to reload.

The splash dmg is decent on explosives but I think ppl forget that DPS stands for damage per second. The time inbetween shooting the ground pounder and reloading is just way longer than the time it takes to do consistent dmg with a saw. For high dps u want to do the most dmg in shortest amount of time. And while smgs are fastest saws tend to do more dmg almost as quick. That's y everyone want a saw. Great all around weapon. And as for the crit spots I haven't come across anything that hits harder than the wolfhound besides a sniper but once again the sniper is just to slow. U can empty a whole wolfhound clip before a sniper gets off 2 shots. Hope this helps.

It does, but I'm factoring in reload times and full cycles. My SAW has 127 rds per mag with a 3.6sec reload. So I can lay down 14secs of solid dmg, but that means a cycle of roughly 18secs for which I'll do 90/hit. that calcs out to a dps of 635/s. If I fire all 5 rds of grenade and they all pop for max (500--most do that I see) and even wait a little to det them all (say 2-3 secs) tot 9 sec cycle it comes out to 833/s + bonus for splash. I can't always tell what the dmg is of each bomblet so it will vary I guess.

It would be nice to get combat logging so I could have more definitive examples (other than you guy's crazy high scores =P ), but I really just want to play the style I enjoy rather than force a style according to raw numbers. You are the expert in IMO so I'll def take your advice and try the pistol and work on the SAW's crit.

I don't use the saw for crits just the wolfhound and the saw does way more than 90/s. Focus on the archers., blast pods and the Hellbug warriors mouths until the crystal weak spots appear. You should be hitting those three things in the 400 -650 range. And when a weak spot appears change to ur wolfhound

Lol u do know that's not alot right? Not laughing at u just laughing cuz I couldn't figure out the reason u posted that. I can help u increase that number drastically if u want.
