it might be pointless to some but new players might find it helpful if you mark which mods only come in one verity like the controlled burst mod (who knows how many synergy ones i may have trashed simply cause they were green )

Due to a recent thread asking this same question I was actually thinking about doing that. I'm going to wait til I'm actually at a computer and not my phone, lol. But yeah man, good idea and I agree it will help newer players

UPDATED:

Added a side note to each mod that cannot be found in all rarities. If it just says green mod or blue mod, then only one type is available. If it says up to green, then it can be found in white or green. I have failed to find any mod that was available in white and blue but not green.

Added note at the end of the mods stating that nano converters cannot be added to certain VOT weapons.

Good question... remember when I said I had 3 potential guides in mind in another thread. The question you just asked is one of them (the shield guide I just released was another). Not just weapon/synergies, but mod/synergy combos as well as weapon/mod/synergy combos. Just have to figure out a non-biased way to do it, it can be tough telling someone that an assassin synergy with 4 assassin mods including a crit barrel still is not even middle of the line in terms of best synergies on a disruptor (with x1.1 base crit).
