We pay 60 bucks to by the game new. We pay extra to get certain boosts and features. We pay extra for DLC. In short we pay enough for the game already
The biggest draw for me was this was a free to play MMO on the consoles. Making us pay bits to save progress EVERY time we die defeats that purpose. It is quite literally an insanely stupid idea, and would chase away the entire population of the game.
Anyways.. I agree with the OP, all you're doing is maxing criticals in pve, and there's no difficulty in pvp its even simpler than other contemporary deathmatches. It's way too easy for an mmo, I've never encountered "difficulty", that would imply that you meet an obstacle that has lessons to be learned from, or progress to be made. In the first ten minutes you are playing, you discover criticals, as well as to avoid damage, there is no further depth or system(s) involved. Maybe it has a wider casual appeal. The game is unfair though, after I'd garnered some experience in game, the only times I'd go down is when: 1 When I'd taken no damage..?(instadown) 2 when I fast travel 3 when blue hell bugs pop up(Auto damage?) 4 when any grenadier enemy, hulker, monarch etc misses me completely(confirmed). I can only attribute this too lag or devs intent to simulate penalty.
such an idea would kill the game, kill the show probably, and if any other game went that route the whole entire gaming industry would crumble because of such a stupid idea. I say you get your account reset for thinking such things >.>
you have no idea what a choice like that would do to the game let alone the industry if something like that was choosen to be placed. Death to gaming as we know it, and a major larger hit to the economy.
This game is extremely easy and is not a challenge at all.
