units "sold" does not = units installed to a consumer...
they counted sales in total, as in.. wal-mart purchased this many and so on. also.. with such a huge failure rate *87% at launch now down to 54% today) you can factor a HUGE portion portion of sales as being for replacements, whether it is the customer, or the retailer it is still "a sale" in ms's eyes...

next time look at what the manufacturer publishes, then look at some 3rd party studies, and finally, if you can, conduct your own research to verify, validate, or counter another's so called findings. stop being a blind fatihful puppet of some brand name and instead make your own decisions, hopefully based on fact, and reasoning.
