But is there any way to turn off EGO's voice at all? I seriously hate it with a passion. She chimes in freaking CONSTANTLY. Her voice turns down the game volume and when I'm driving by stuff, she won't actually speak for 30 seconds while her text will be on screen.
If I'm walking through an enemy infested area, she is constantly telling me to stop and fight every single thing. It's aggravating. I hate her voice.
you think that is bad. wait till you have to lessen to the guy in pvp. it is so stupid it can't tell which team it is talking to so says the same thing to both teams.

Turn off sound man.
Use music player and your problem is solved.
And you could use subtitles when your EGO speak at you to understand what is situation around you.

On the topic of other voices I hate - I am SO SICK of all the infected in the triage areas. They seriously have five lines and repeat them one after the other, non-stop. They seriously should have had intervals in between their short list of lines.
Not even kidding, last night I heard four different infected say, "YOU MUST BLEED LIKE ME" within five seconds of each other.
"AUUUUUUGH MY BRAIN IS ON FIRE"
"Is my wife okay?"
"YOU HAVE TO DIEEEEEE"
"HahahahahAAAAAA AHHHH"
This game did not get voice acting right in any regard whatsoever.
I thought I was over hearing that scream for a while this past Monday.

The voice to me anymore seems to be like when Ventrilo first came out. Had and probably still has that annoying voice. Difference is you could turn it off.
