Best area that I found for single target weapons, Single shot AR, burst weapons, sniper, etc. Was when doing the Nim quest at Checkpoint Alpha.

I killed nim for my first time yesterday. I was at EGO 369. I feel like a boss!mostly because I heave heard a lot that he is super hard and you should be at EGO 1000 or something. he was relatively easy for me, and I was super low EGO. all that I used was the GL shotty and the defender BGM.

How about ways to get decent gear? In the last 260-270 hours or so of gameplay the only thing I have to show for drop wise is a legendary bolter that had no element. I thought Diablo III and Borderlands II had terrible drop rates. This game is 1,000 times worse. I use a controller so in PvP it's already tough enough, not to mention with hex editing going around the way it is lately. But yeah, any tricks? No, I will not spend real money for lock boxes. I get plenty of them from doing arkfalls, sieges, etc. I switch up between 3's and 4's but it never makes a difference. I always get terrible greens and blues. Rarely even purples. If so, it's never close to decent. Yes, it's me from your friends list. Just found this thread actually, lol.
I have difficulty leveling weapon skills like SMG, Pump Shotguns, Infectors, Pistols, and of course BMGs.
Northstar Flare Pistol? Forget about it. I havent even fully maxed out a pistol yet. It's nice because it sets people on fire and works great with the Pumped Up perk, but its a B*tch to level.
To be fair it's a much better situation as there's a much much much slimmer margin between best and worst items. I thought BL2 was fine on the drop front tbh, rare is rare, as it should be. Diablo 3 though....oh my
I don't worry too much about getting "decent" gear, it is what you make it - hell, I'm currently using a green fire VOT pulser most of the time as it's cheap to reset mastery and still chews through anything.
Just make sure you get an 8/12 mag mod and slap that in, incredibly easy to level. Pretty much any hit (especially on larger enemies) will be a nice juicy crit and damage = xp. And of course it's aoe. It's what I'm using on the Tremblers at Sieges, 3 or 4 shots and they're toast.
Ok, I'll test your knowledge. 5000 bolt action sniper rifle kills, how to get them? I'm a good shot, but still only at 600 or so. Seems like a real grind.
