Ok, I'll test your knowledge. 5000 bolt action sniper rifle kills, how to get them? I'm a good shot, but still only at 600 or so. Seems like a real grind.

Well, reason I use the flare is because of the Pumped Up perk & it DOTs w/o having to wait on the fire nade.

You cant use your perks while doing Bolinas though. When you can, go use cloak and the cloak damage buffs. That will increase your damage, and kills.

How about ways to get decent gear? In the last 260-270 hours or so of gameplay the only thing I have to show for drop wise is a legendary bolter that had no element. I thought Diablo III and Borderlands II had terrible drop rates. This game is 1,000 times worse. I use a controller so in PvP it's already tough enough, not to mention with hex editing going around the way it is lately. But yeah, any tricks? No, I will not spend real money for lock boxes. I get plenty of them from doing arkfalls, sieges, etc. I switch up between 3's and 4's but it never makes a difference. I always get terrible greens and blues. Rarely even purples. If so, it's never close to decent. Yes, it's me from your friends list. Just found this thread actually, lol.

Dude...what's up Saizen. Been a bit since I actually played with ya. Normally I port to you so I can check your phase for arkfalls. But yeah man, for gear, you kind of just gotta keep trucking with lockboxes. Right now I think they are the only way to get legendaries even I've heard stories of people getting for vendors and/or arkfalls. I highly doubt b/c as for arkfalls, if I'm at one from the get go, I will be number one on the results. And sometimes I spend my whole gaming session grinding arkfalls. As for vendors.. I simply don't think so. Could be possible but I doubt it. All of my legendaries, besides one of my reparks, I don't even use b/c they're not my play style. I do have some rockets and detonators that are fun to mess around with or use with the right loot find perks at sieges. Now that I am 5k though and I've been saving up lots of scrip and ark salvage, sometime soon, I will be spending it all on keycodes and then into tier 4 lockboxes and mod caches.

Yes, grab the correct perks and run Bolinas Sniper. 55 kills per round with a semi auto sniper rifle that actually counts towards your bolt action kills. You couldn't ask for a faster way to grind these. But if you are truly looking for a way to not only grind kills but weapon leveling too, I recommend that nest and/or crash sight just northeast of Bug N' Chug. Lots of skitterlings that practically respawn faster than you can kill them. Just perch yourself on top of something where you are not in threat's reach of warriors.

I maxed sniper weapon and completed sniper from shadows 3.

When asked, I always tell people not to take short cuts like Bolinas.

You eventually have to level the sniper to 20 and it will still take forever anyway. Why not do both at the same time?

My answer is: Sutro Tower for infinite DM spawn. You can OHKO with a bolt action as long as you are alone and you modded the sniper with critical damage and use the right perks (Hunter's stance). You also get a lot of white and greens (Just Rewards) as I believe DM have some of the highest drop chances in game. During the loot weekend, I sat down and started grind those kills. Ended up with almost half a million in scrip over two days (because I have a huge inventory and 6 clicks per salvage was just too much with all the loot.)

1. Ark Pedator suit. Reaching 4000 ego is the easy part of that pursuit.

2. Higher ego opens are strange new properties on weapons/shields. Shield charges also scales to your EGO level. I think rhinos hit 2K only after 4500+ I of remember correctly.

3. After around 1600+ ego, items you find stops coming with four slots unlocked. You have to work your way up the mod slots again. You need to be 4500+ ego to consistently get all four mod slots already unlocked at pickup, or pay 120k+ ark salvage to unlock the slot.

5. Freaking see 3 again.

Well to be quite honest. I still don't have every perk fully upgraded. I focused on pursuits rather than actual experience grinding so when I hit 5k, I still had three more perks to fully level. Actually kept me quite busy and not bored. Sure I didn't hit 5k as fast as some others but I did it in a way that I still had goals to complete along the way rather than simply grinding which in my opinion is boring. Setting goals and completing them really kept me busy all the time and on top of this, I was always helping members of my clan do whatever they needed to complete. I didn't care b/c it was just another way I could level up a weapon or get required kills needed or just shot the **** with friends.

This is me running Sutro, so you get an idea of where to look for Dark Matter spawns. 4-6 Dark Matter troops spawn each generator you shut down. As long as you don't restart them all, they spawn infinitely.

1. I don't care about outfits/titles, only functionality

2. I am only 3400 and I got a Rhino IV with 2020 capacity. Yes, I am aware that at a higher level there will most likely be resistance/bonus upgrades on shields of this level (mine is just the basic).

3. I only mod the very good weapons, particularly the ones I use in PVP, and ark salvage is not so hard to get. I also don't buy many weapon lockboxes because usually garbage comes out. If I was going to get boxes, I would get tier 3 since the chances of a legendary are only slightly less. Per keycode, the output is better. The drop rate of the legendaries is way too low either way considering that there are so many different types of weapons. There's a much better chance of getting an epic that suits your needs.

In summation, you have a valid point. I am not questioning the perks of level 5000, but simply stating that if it requires spending frustrating hours completing pursuits that I don't care about (in particular, the racing challenges), then I'll be okay with hanging at level 4000. Or as high as I can get without completing certain pursuits.
