I'd say destroying most of the habitable sections to make way for pollution and the culling of animals pretty much sums up "worst"
If evolution to humans never happened and the world remained habitable only by animals, everything would still be green, the atmosphere wouldn't be riddled with pollution and the seas would be clean of waste and rubbish.
