That said I think they need to bump up the customization... a lot. SWTOR suffered from what many called "limited" character creation. and it is true, I felt very quickly that the options were to few and farbetween, and as for mmo's in 2013 I believe it is very dated to give no advanced options.

APB is still the best character creator, STO has a solid one with tons of options, DCUO's gear customization is pretty great too. While the gameplay in these games is lacking their customization is key. Hell even the steam trailer for APB played off the customization as the main selling point to the game, and it has worked fairly well. We really need new levels of customization in games, the race list for defiance lore is massive... Trion should make use of it.

WTB APB, meets STO, meets DCUO character and gear customization meets Mass Effect 4's new engine meets open world gameplay and mmo level of defiance. *cough* *druels* ...
    Well said sir.

Character customization is a important aspect off a MMO games, there are really allot of gamer's like me who like to customize character to every tiny detail because it makes your character feel unique, I don't like to put facial tattoos to be unique.
Thing what i really would enjoy that i can make, Me inside of a game! We are so different! In games we are unique with our personality's not with our looks ( there are 100+ clones who looks the same )

I'd have to agree with Obsidian. The character customization was nice, more than some games, but not as much as it could or possibly should provide. I remember swtor promised countless customization options and endless blah blah blah - but upon getting in for Beta, I was thoroughly disappointed as were most people. Taking APB's style and approach would be the best option, though I am unsure if that is something they're willing, or able, to do at this point in time.

Plus, it's just so awkward when you show up to a co-op event or PvP battlefield only to find someone else is wearing the same avatar. Then someone has to go home and change, and that's a big hassle...
