Indeed. Sadly, at 9pm Pacific, the folks on the west coast won't be playing. They won't even be able to pick up the game for another three hours at bare minimum, and likely closer to 12 by the time stores open.

So I ask that some of you check your enthusiasm a little bit. It could be a bumpy first few hours. I won't be worrying too much.

This... I haven't found an MMO launch where the servers don't have to reset a few times actually. The first day or two is basically a huge emulation of a DDoS on the servers.

midnight launch is pretty solid, but i feel bad for the techs... theyll be on standby all night and most of tuesday.

Most Europeans will be playing on the EU server,so the launch time in Europe wont have a great deal of impact either way, even if it were during EU prime time. The exception being the servers that handle account registration and game codes but they handled Rifts launch exceptionally well.

Trion handled Rifts launch very well, it was one of the smoothest launches for any mmo.

Honestly Most people are probably canceling, not because of bugs or server issues, But bc it doesn't take an astro-physicist to conclude there is no real depth to the mindless grind and it is NOT AT ALL the game they were expecting. Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with overreacting to beta problems.. retail copy isn't going to have better weapon scaling between raritys, its not going to magically add a end game, its not going to make instances in the least bit relevant.

Man, people like you really need to just go back and bury your head in the sand. The B3 version was an old version that basically showed the starter zone, not much more. As for grind, obviously you've never touched any other MMO ever, just don't know how to respond to that.

If only the alpha NDA was lifted I bet we wouldn't get any more of these mindless posts/threads.

All I am bothered about with the launch time is reserving my characters name. Nothing else. I have the next few months to no life this game!
