Weapon modding help, please.

I can't seem to figure this out. Are scope mods not available for an SMG? The only scope mod I can find is for infector weapons. Am I just unlucky? I have not found a single mod that works with any weapon I have picked up so far.

Iron Demon ranch in Madera (fast travel location) has vendor with mods.

AH! An answer I can provide!

The Iron ...something farm, in the starter area. It's down the road aways, you can't miss it if you follow the main path. They have a vender that sells level 1 weapon mods for all the weapon types.

im having trouble attaching mods, everytime i do they seem to get deleted and not apply the effects to the guns i add them to, i dont know if this is a bug or just something becauses its beta.

Some of the guns are bugged and the mods are not being accepted. If it was a beta thing none would take mods.
