    I'm still worried about the social aspect of the game. I have yet to see a dev, etc. comment on if there will be a global chat instead of just the immediate area.

    Also the second day of beta 3, I did not find a lot of people (maybe 5 at most). This is another concern of mine as I would like to see other people out and about no matter where I am. The feeling of being a single player game/I'm the only one alive concerns me.

    TLDR: I'm not sure if I'm going to order it or not.

    I have the Ultimate Edition pre-ordered for Xbox360. Unless there are signs of a significant difficulty spike over the next couple of days - I'll likely cancel it.

    -Auto aim is beyond ludicrous.
    FPS/TPS games have, essentially, three key factors: Positioning, aiming, and shooting. One of those aspects has been all but stripped out UNLESS you use a sniper rifle. That leaves us with positioning and shooting. Communication and load outs can also play large roles, but aren't universal as some games have neither one or the other. Yes, I'm aware you can turn it off on the PC version. In all likelihood, the console versions will eventually have the option as well. Great if you want to handicap yourself against everyone else in an Arkfall/scoring event. (Less impactful on PC with it on/off..a big difference with it on/off on consoles.)

    -The game/predator has no teeth.
    There may as well be no death penalty and just let us all be invincible juggernauts. You can get right back up where you die? SERIOUSLY? With a whopping whole five minute cooldown? And, even if that's on cooldown, you lose some chump change you'll make up as you jog a whole thirty seconds back to the last waypoint. This is more pathetic than Dead Island where you respawn ten feet away from where you died and the zombies mugged you for some drug money.

    -Rare items need to be rare.
    Raining loot gets stale. The state of beta isn't too bad, but still pretty generous. (Outside of Arkfalls, which are flat out disabled.) However, I'm sure it will be raining golds come retail.

    -The AI.
    (Needs no explanation.)

    -Little to no incentive to communicate, group up, etc.
    Unless you want some xp/loot bonuses there is no real incentive to.....INTERACT with other people to progress in the game. Making at least SOME of the content challenging would make people even go out of their way to utilize the poor chat system and...COMMUNICATE in an mmo. Right now, it's a single player game with other people around if you feel like talking/making a ridiculously easy game even simpler.

    These are all target audience/core gameplay related and have nothing to do with just being a beta. As such, I'm sure none of the above will actually be altered. Still, I'll give it until a couple days before launch. If Trion wants Defiance to be yet another game everyone plows through and gets bored in a couple weeks/months it's their game and prerogative. It's not subscription based, so at least they won't live/die by the subscriber.

    Adding in my little voice...

    ::Background::
    - Purchased the game on Steam for $60.
    - Played the BETA.

    ::Impressions::
    The BETA did not blow me away, and the game was very easy.. however I understand. As a PC player playing any console game, everything is easy! Especially if you spent your youth playing CounterStrike. Still, it gave me what I generally wanted... a FPS where I kill stuff and loot cool weapons.

    The stuff I was a little sad with was sort of the lack of classes. I figured there would be more of the basic archetypes of fighters. Using TF2, (Heavy) / (Scout) / (Medic) ect.. cause for MMO's I love playing the healer.. but I don't know how helpful a healer build is in this game, and since who you are is mostly what gun you are carrying.. the character build doesn't matter so much.

    This just make me wonder about the team aspect of the game. Least in the BETA I was just moving with the swarm and completing missions so fast in a whirlwind of bullets.

    In summary:
    I want to get into a FPS MMO from the start, and this one promised a one time fee MMO.

    ::My Fear::
    I will cry if I spent $60 and I am instantly gouged for money when the game starts! Sure, release cool DLC's in a few months, and I'll likely pick them up (pending they expand the gameplay).. but I fear I spent $60 to have the right to play a Microtransaction game.

    OK! Sure.. this game will likely go Free to Play in a few months.. and I'd be ok with that so long as they don't ask me to pay for everything small little thing after I bought the game.

    It was those XP boost that scare me.. are they really going to make me pay cash for those? I'm OK if it is, "Hey, you can buy them with game resources that you earn by questions".. but OMG, if ask for my VISA, I'd feel totally scammed.

    So yeah.. I bought the game.. but I am scared.

    And one last quick thing...

    I played Hellgate London all the way till the end.
    I almost bough APB.

    There are a lot of things to be afraid of as a game consumer in this world.

    But you always hope for an Orange Box, a Skyrim, a StarCraft.. a game you'll be like.. "Best damn $$$ I ever spent."

    Please let this game be just that. Gaming goddesses, hear my prayer!

    I've been playing Dcuo for two years now and after playing this over the weekend I hate going back to Dcuo. Playing the beta made me want that pre order.

    Wish I could, but I'm way too broke to show the support I'd like to... :/

    I've had my Ultimate Edition paid off since before the second beta weekend. The game is quite enjoyable and as there aren't any MMOs worth playing anymore (that I personally find enjoyable, don't get butthurt), I want something I'll be able to enjoy on/off of a period of time before the new console generation release. I've just been filling my off time with Pokémon and Mass Effect 3 online for the time being. As soon as the new consoles are up for order, I'll be ditching them both before their values tank and be living on my PC for gaming over the months in between.

    Game is ok, nothing special and could use some additions/improvements. I've had the ultimate edition pre ordered for a while though and since i'm bored i'm not gonna cancel it, then if the game/show actually become popular i'll be able to say "i was there!"

    Plus i need a messenger bag and the amazon.uk ultimate edition price was cheap.
