Also the reporter from the Bay Area, Charlie Rivers, was mentioned in the data recorders last week, her brother was the one on the recorders.

indeed. Once I heard her speaking about coming from the bay area and her saying her name, I was like ..... "wait! what?" rewind just to make sure. There was the tie-in I was looking for.Good episode. I am def getting annoyed with Irisa.

This was the first show that didn't have a commercial plugging the game, that I saw. Last show I saw just one. I wonder why.

As I understood it, the nano's fixed him up and kept repairing him when he got damaged, so for all intents and purposes if Nolan hadn't shot him out the window at the end, when the nano's shut down Sukar would have still been alive and well, just no longer immortal.

I think the game is WAY ahead of the show. This is due in part, I think, to all the pressure on Trion to get content out to the fan boys. Seems this tie in was released 2 weeks early starting with sieges's, but they did take a week off with the show and we all know what happens when the fan boys don't get new content, cheese and whine for all. But all in all I think the game and the show will get together after the season ends and we are in reruns.

Trion has no pressure from fanboys causing them to do anything. Everything they've done has been on a schedule between them and NBC/SyFy that was agreed upon way in advance.

It's called a cliff hanger when they put a potential disaster in at the end on an episode. We're supposed to worry all week about how this will turn out and BE SURE TO WATCH THE NEXT EPISODE to see if somehow the town can be saved. This technique has been around since way before there were ANY TV shows. It's from the old movie serials like Perils of Pauline where we see her hanging from the cliff by her fingers at the end of the episode and wonder if ANYONE can save her.

In the modern world, we're pretty sure that SOMEONE somehow will solve the dilemma (and with Defiance that someone may well be the characters in the game!).
