That doesn't refer to being able to play used games.

Publishers of PS4 games, then, can do what's already done on existing PlayStation software: Limit or lock content behind online passes or redemption codes (or opt out of restrictions altogether), which differs from Microsoft's limited licensing of Xbox One software.
    This refers to online passes/codes.

I dont even want a PS4 but im going to get one instead of an xbox one just out of principle.

It wouldnt have even effected me, but if i pay for something with hard earned money, I dont want somebody telling me what i can and cant do with it.

MS cant stick there xbox where the sun doesnt shine.

I'm sure its no coincidence that Sony waited until just after the announcement of the XBox One price and no used games bull**** to announce a $100 cheaper pricetag and used games allowed. Damn smart move on their part, even if Microsoft goes back on the used games plan this has already lost them customers to Sony, and I'm one of them.

The idea of ownership is morphing. For example, when you bought something in the past you owned it, but now when you buy something we still own it and you are obviously a criminal who needs to be checked up on every 24 hours. We see you trying to lend your game to a friend without asking us first and giving us a cut, you disgusting piece of human filth. Get him, guys! Hold him upside down and shake him till his wallet falls out! Yes, we got it! Kick him in the balls and let's head back to the office.

Those really are the words behind the words of what Microsoft has been telling us.

I think what they are ultimately aiming for is monthly fees for everything. You pay a monthly fee for windows, a monthly fee for your xbox, a monthly fee for your games. Which they can do because you don't 'own' them.

Luckily other companies will see the opportunity in releasing similar products with less hastle for the consumer. All this DRM crap only sells if your competition is doing the same thing. It looks like Sony has decided they would rather make money instead.
