    The Vehicles?!

I admit my information is limited as far as what I have seen for vehicles in defiance. But the vehicles don't really look that futuristic too me....

    Take the quad for example.

I think they could have done a better job. There are plenty of cool atv concepts on google images. like an atv that can cross rivers or lakes

or a more futuristic rugged atv

Or even give it some guns for gods sake! the atv as it sits now just feels out of place for a game set in the future.

But its in a post apocalyptic world if I'm not wrong. They are trying to save resources i think.

The quad is just the base Vehicle you get from the start so I'm sure there will be better/more fancier Vehicles at a later date & as the poster above pointed out although its in the future it is also set as a post apocalyptic game, so you have to expect to be using knock-off put together tat before you get the really good stuff.

This game is post-apocalyptic with the alien technology (which seems to be rare) throwing in sci-fi elements.

So I imagine you can get fancier vehicles later on, but having a little quad that you can call in from anywhere at any time is pretty awesome to start with imo.

Yeah, after all what are we fighting over in this game? Resources, that's what. If you don't have enough you can't expect to be able to mass produce lots of fancy high tech sport cars and keep them in top condition in a hostile environment. You have to keep the design simple and build something that will last.

Try maintaining a sports car in the Scottish Isles as opposed to an old VW Golf and you'll understand

good point Sir, but now my question is. Where the hell do you guys find this stuff out?! I haven't found anything out about this game. Oh and I am wondering if there will be customization for vehicles like paint or custom clan emblem on the sides or somethin

Defiance is set in 30 years into the future, ....so, by that standard, ....30 years these ATVs are what we get.

ya but things could change a lot in 30 years. 30 years ago we didn't have consoles, cell phones, i pads, and all that cool tech. i think 30 years from now some of that technology would somewhat improve a simple ATV.

We did have consoles 30 years ago.

Cell phones are far older than that....
The first mobile telephone call was placed in St. Louis, Missouri on June 17, 1946 from a telephone set installed in an automobile. This first mobile telephone call was the end result of more than 10 years of work by Bell Labs scientists Alton ****ieson, D. Mitchell and H.I. Romnes.
And I don't really care about the iPad as it's nothing more than something that's trying to assimilate the human race.

    As for ATV's:
Suzuki was a leader in the development of four-wheeled ATVs. It sold the first model, the 1982 QuadRunner LT125, which was a recreational machine for beginners.

    and a 2013 ATV looks like ....

    Honda TRX450

Over 30 years and they still look similar/sameish with no real distinctive differences other than the changes to plastic body casing.
