st Luis arch = 630 ft high, golden gate bridge = 780 ft yet you cant fly above 400 ft in defiance according to lasts nites show yet strato carriers can fly above these heights

because the golden gate bridge is 700 feet + and the carrier was flying far above the golden gate bridge.

I was under the assumption that after the terraform that left old St Louis under ground, that only about half of the arch is left visible above ground, putting it well within the limits.

Very true, in the first episode they state that Defiance is built on top of St Louis which was buried. Then in the 2nd or 3rd episode, they showed the ruins of St Louis underneat Defiance. It is safe to say that defiance is at least 200 if not more feet above. With everything else, I would theorize that the arch is at least 1/2 buried

The issue is not science vs. science-fiction vs. religion vs. whatever, the issue is continuity. Continuity is something that writers should strive for so that they don't end up having to retcon stuff. If you are going to boast about the game and the show connecting, it is bad form to have on say one thing and the other something else. Disconnects in lore (albeit nit-picky sometimes) kind of diminish (not ruin) the immersion.
