Bit of education for the non-technicals: If you can get to the Character Selection screen, the bloody servers are up.

The issue is them accepting your selection, not up or down at this point.

I've been at the character selection screen when the servers have been down for maintenance SO I don't think this is an accurate statement or my 360 is some how magical.

The server status page says the update that was being done today is completed, actually, if the people yapping about it still being down would go look, yet still the critical error. Either Trion is putting out false information, our they need to keep us updated. I quit playing Rift for this reason.

I also saw where it said the update was completed and I am having the "Time Out" issue as well.

What are you looking at? The 3am update shows completed, but not the 8am server update.
