Defiance on the Xbox ONE

Can you cite any sources for number two, specifically where they've said they're giving free 360 games per month?
I haven't seen anything mentioned about that anywhere.

They actually said this on the Xbox One media briefing that opened E3 yesterday. It started with Fable 3 yesterday, and will soon be Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3. Playstation Plus members will get the new game Drive Club for free.
Let me just say, it is ridiculous that I can't play a game that I borrowed from a friend who is not on my friends list. We meet people every day, and some of them let us borrow games. I changed my pre-order from Xbox to PS4 because of this.

1: Pay for stuff you already paid for and likely wont play very much of again... No Ty.

2: Roll it all over, + increase the # of Friends... Cool and all but that was to be expected. About the only good thing about the "People can access Gold without the account in the house" is my cousin cant screw with my friends if im away. Also, grats on ripping off PS3, and doing it pretty poorly @ launch. Halo 3? Really?... Great game but its far too old to tote as the New and Shiney! Honestly id rather an old school plain old Tetris d/load then Halo 3.

3: Always connected... I have a question i havent found answered. We know if you DONT connect, you cant play offline... So what happens when ive been moving my old man for 4 days and CANT connect?* Im assuming just reconnect and go on when you can right? But assuming makes an *** out of u and me... My 360 is connected almost all day anyways so this really isnt an issue for me other than said case*

4: The Devs get money from the Games + DLC's. They do not need to ruin the Used Game market to "Get more". I get it that its still all business and that if you asked me (say im Bethesda), "Do you want to make more money, or let Gamestop keep selling your stuff, cutting you from their deals?". Id take more money... The real knife-in-the-back here, is SELLING the used games. As i keep a gaming budget, selling games i dont play often allows me extra-space to buy New games i might not otherwise be able to acquire when they release. This is where this hurts, and hurts alot.

I love my 360 and wouldn't play the PS3 if you gave me on for free, but this morning I pre ordered the PS4. Anyone who is supporting Microsoft's stance on the next gen consoles is either ill informed, trolling or works for Microsoft.

So for many people not thinking straight about the xbox one, heres some stuff cleared up.

#1: Yes Xbox One is not backwards compatible, but there will be the 360 game on the demand. So if theres a game you enjoyed on your 360 and you got rid of your 360, you can purchase them again.

#2: The Gold membership is being improved. Gold membership is bound to the console in a way where others in the house can access those gold abilities without needing the gold member to be signed in. Also playstation plus has been doing this but Gold has announced you will get 2 free 360 games every month for being a gold member.

#3: Always being connected to internet. Yes they do require that but if you paid attention to the features what the xbox one had and the games as well, there would be a significant amount of exploits or negative experiences you or others might come across without being connected to cloud.

#4: For people that enjoy retailers like Gamestop. Developers use the money to keep severs up and running, fix current issues in games that you play and also paying for the time and effort the devs and others put into the game. With Gamestop want to give people $30 for a brand new game then turn around and put it on their shelf for $6 cheaper than a new copy is nuts. They do so to make as much profit as possible without having to pay a middle man. They will also tell you well its not a popular title or sport titles loose there value quickly. Even though you bought that non popular title from them for $30 and they want to give it you $5 for it. Or the fact that sport titles are all the same just updated rosters and graphics yet theres millions of people that buy them every year.

Im not saying Xbox is better than PS...Because it all boils down to what features or games you like on the console compared to the other. By all means don't let others decide for you in the console war, most of the time its fanboys that are saying PS is way better because of this or Xbox is way cooler because of this.

This post was intended to clear some things up for people that might still be confused, and this was gathered from what I have read and seen about the Xbox One.

How exactly does any of this affect YOU? bad business decision on MS's part yes, but for me it's no issue. I'm always online and i rarely ever buy used games.

What i find intersting is publishers like EA getting rid of online passes just before the MS's announcement about used games. Online passed were just a way for dev to make money back off of used games.

Just because you rarely buy used games doesn't mean a lot of other people don't. Also borrowing games from friends or simple rentals is overly complicated and restrictive.
There have been countless analogies made about the Xbox One to show how absurd it is. You don't give money back to the car manufacturer for buying and selling used cars. DVD players don't check to see who owns the movie and doesn't care if I borrowed or rented it.

I don't trust EA at all, I am sure they have something up their sleeve for the PS4 that hasn't been revealed yet.
