I never wander..... although I do occasionally get blown off of cliff tops, and ONE time I fell off a walkway, both times required long runbacks.

I too did not get into Co-ops till late (2 weeks ago... darned Matron contract!) And was pleasantly suprised when I did. The maps work well with a group of strangers with different ego levels. (admittedly they might someday want to introduce an "elite" co-op or two designed for a coordinated group of skilled, geared players)

But I digress, to anyone avoiding Co-Ops go ahead and try them!

Apart from doing the main story line, the co-op maps are about the best thing in this game.
If they expand on this, more maps, bigger groups and different difficulties it will be even better.

Well yeah.....they're almost the same as instanced dungeons in RPGs. Just wish they could add some more control over who you enter with. Not to mention some bug fixes (I did one today where my character died from something weak, then respawned literally at 0 health about a dozen times).

One thing I wish they'd fix is that sometimes when I join a group that's in the middle of the co-op, I won't be a part of the group. I do love doing the maps though =D

That and this afternoon a group was trying to get the Hellbug Matron pursuit for killing it in 3 minutes on Angel Island, by the end though they were all just standing around outside the point... they were changing weapons apparently, but didn't alert me until I waited a minute.
That was me and my friend.
Should have told you first before we started changing loadouts.
    My bad.

How did you get your character to tell us to hurry up?
I thought that was pretty cool (that you could do it)

Though it did double my time changing loadouts.
Your character telling me to hurry up the whole time got be flustered and resulted in lots of mis-click mistakes adjusting loadout.

Cheers for your help in getting the 3min achievement though!!
And not kicking us from group while we switched loadouts.

I knew you guys were doing something, it's alright. I was just spamming it because I like to make use of it. I'm not sure what key it is for you guys, but for me it's F; It brings up Emotes, Callouts and others. There, go to Callouts and use "Get in".
By the end your character was just watching me so i thought you were waiting for me to change weapons when I was perfectly fine with what I had lol.

I thought you guys had just AFK'd or something which was why I kept saying get in, hoping you'd hear through the speakers everyone was ready - until you mentioned the three minute challenge it became clear to me what youse were doing.

i didn't do my 1st coop till like ego 2500. i expected people to be like other mmo's i played and was really suprised it wasn't. i liked that noone talks (or even better) dont give a damn what your wearing aka gear. they all pretty much just shut up and do their own thing. no complaining about what color your gun is or that your not shooting your bullets properly lol.

i still like resistence 2's coop style better where you could do the same place 20 different ways depending on where it started you but i am finding defiance coops to be pretty fun anyway. just wish they would steal everything from resistence 2 coop. mabey even its secondary fire options off their guns(sniper secondary fire was 3 lightening balls that electrocuted everything on its path as example or the way their heal gun worked instead of the way our bmg does).

YouTube is a great place to find out where the data recorder locations are, unless you are determined to find them on your own. I tried that and was very bad at it. So I watched the run throughs, and memorized the locations before I joined a match. That way when I was with group that runs and guns (which is pretty much all of them) I could just detour quickly and get the data recorder.

Also can you believe how clunky those data recorders look? They look like something that has been sitting in the back of someone's closet since the 70's.

I totally agree, that is one strength that Trion is failing to capitalize on. As much as I love the Arkfalls, Sieges, and exploring the world solo, there is something about a small group of players blasting their way through a Co-Op map. I really hope they add more and give us several routes to take to beat it. The more replay value, the more players will stick around.

I'm already bored to death from co-op and even pvp is not fun anymore with these infector naabz!
So i may take a brake from the game till they release new content (i mean not episode missions) with new stuff to kill and new loot to obtain!
I have like thousands co-op maps completed and in a few of these people was respectful and helping.
And i run a lot co-op maps with my clan and they are grateful for this, because i know lots and lots data recorders there.
