Well, for PVP balance (*gag, retch*) we can rule out any races that would have hit boxes that are different than humans, so no Liberata, no Sensoths, no Biomen, probably no Gulanee. I guess you could do Gulanee in a human-sized and -shaped suit, but what would be the point? Indogene are probably the only other race they will do.

Torc's a sensoth so its possible, human sized. Gulanee can fly, just stop there lol. Liberata I agree, itd be a nightmare in PvP. Volge are also ruled out due to antagonistic nature and size. Biomen I supose are ruled out unless they come up with a more compact version, a possiblity given there are different "models". So seonsoths and indogenes for sure, possible biomen, anyone know other races?

    Overview

The Votan races are very diverse, having evolved on at least two different planets in their home system. They have at least three different blood types G, X, and V. Votans share many similarities with humans, not only in physiology but also in culture and society such as religion and spirituality and even card games.
    Votan species

    Castithan
    Gulanee
    Indogene
    Irathient
    Liberata
    Sensoth
    Volge

    The eighth race
An eighth Votan race exists, somewhere out in the universe, which were all believed to have died when the Votan solar system was destroyed.
    From the Discovery wiki.

My guess is space goats. Turn up late, crash land, make good cosplay bait.

It's really hard to cosplay Gulanee.

Or just wear an enclosed suit with a helmet and say you are a Gulanee inside, similar to what one guy.

Hrm. I could just be going on how much bigger the tankers are than the other raiders, and how big the sensoths in the show are, but I thought Torc was significantly bigger than Coop and your character. Even if Trion made them as small as humans, they couldn't make them any bulkier without making them bigger targets... I'm skeptical that we'll see sensoths as anything but NPCs.

Id say the factor for the difference in size is age. The Sensoths live up to 200 years or more, Torc seems to be young, the sensoths in the show strike me as old, tankers are anyones guess lol. If we ever get the chance to be sensoths, I doubt we'll be a century old.

I give them mad props for the attempt, but the execution is as rough as a brick up side the head.

they could still use the muppet suits as background extras, but for closeups, I'd rather see a bit more votanity, and less wires and latex.
And the brighter side it atleast it is muppet suits and latex versus crappy CG.

That might be more of a Large and in Charge or Giant Mook thing than properly representative of the species. The role the tanker plays is analogous to the Hellbug Monarch, Dark Matter Bulwark, and the Scrapper Forge. Much larger than their peers, with temporary weakspots.

Can be seen in many MMOs where ostensibly "human" boss or champion characters are much larger than the "human" playable characters. This was inverted in Lineage 2 where the playable Orcs were larger and smarter than the devolved monster Orcs.

Sensoths like Torq could also be genetically modified.

He could also be young as I believe Sensoths live the longest out of all the Votan races.

I believe Sensoths with Torqs look will be playable eventually. As well as Indogene.
