When that happens to me I plug in my nes and play some guardian legend WITHOUT a game genie. when I make it past the prologue level im usually back on track for anything this generation of gaming can throw at me. That 8-bit nightmare makes any of todays games look easier than my ex on a bar crawl once she runs out of cash

Oh, man, don't even mention those old games. I never beat a single one of them. I like to think I'm pretty old school, but I'm kind of a fraud if you consider that I never beat any of the games I owned.

I played GTA 4 until I realized that you kind of have to be a bad guy. The first guy I accidentally killed made me feel bad.

Hahaha, maybe it's too altruistic and cheesy, but that's why the GTA games have never interested me. GTA 5 might inspire a little foray into it though.

i do the same thing when i get a point in a game i just cant seem to get passed ( which is rare cuz im a fan of the myst games, and im good at figuring stuff out ), i just open up my files on my laptop and play some old school final fantasies, or even more frustrating, some old mega man stuff lol...
once i have had my fill of conquering those things then i just get back on whatever i was playing...sometimes its a really good thing to take a step back and take a breather from whatever is nerfing ya i guess
