So has anyone figured out which lockbox (tier 3 or tier 4) is the best to buy, as in best odds of having a legendary inside? Am I wasting my time and money or keycards buying tier 4's all the time?

id like to know as well i have not been able to find an legendary weapons myself i just recently bought my first one. I have done co op for drops at end. Countless lock boxes tier 3 and 4 off and on i have ran plenty of arkfalls done all my story and side missions. I got nothing im like 2100 or so and yet to see my own is there a certain method to trying to get legendaries better than others?

From what I've heard and experienced, Tier 4 giving an orange is like winning the lottery and Tier 3 giving one is like winning the lottery and then getting struck by lightning in the same day.
I'm EGO level 980 or so and I've got 2 oranges both from tier 3 lockboxes. That may be because I usually buy tier 3, I've only bought a few tier 4s and got nothing memorable from them.

Got my first orange at lvl 540, second at lvl 1200+, third at lvl 1500+ and just got my fourth at lvl 2700. I got them from both T3's and T4's, the last coming from a T4 on my first pull today. It's a slot machine mentality. Cheaper T3's must have a much lower probability to reward. I still need all the salvage I can get, so the boxes don't go to waste one way or another.
Personally, Ive bought alot more tier 4's than 3's. Have gotten 2 oranges from 3's, but most Ive gotten were from 4's. Last weekend I bought 15 tier 4's and got 3 oranges...not bad if ya ask me. Think Im gonna stick to the 4's.
For some reason, I have waaay better luck buying them with Bits from the ingame store. Ive gotten only 1 orange from using salvage on a tier 3.
I'm 1200 and have yet to see an orange anything. Doesn't matter what I buy, 2's, 3's, 4's... it all blows. I have yet to pull even a purple out of a lockbox. It's all whites, greens, and blues. I've all but given up on lockboxes and save my keycodes for synergy mods. I understand it's RNG, but it sure as hell doesn't seem like it.
