Microsoft, Can't tell if your trolling, or really that stupid...

This was said today regarding XBones need for internet connectivity.

"We have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity - it's called Xbox 360," Don Mattrick told Geoff Keighley on GameTrailers.

Heres another gem from the same interview.

“When I read the blogs and they talked about who’s really most impacted, it was a person who said ‘Hey, I’m on a nuclear sub’,” said Mattrick. “I don’t even know what it means to be on a nuclear sub, but I’ve got to imagine it’s not easy to get an Internet connection.”

Microsoft screwed up, im a xbox fan but I will be going over to ps4 this gen. the 24 hour check in and sharing games issues don't affect me, as I have good internet and don't share games generally, but im not stupid enough to support a machine that's so entirely anti consumer.

I'm actually thinking that Micro$oft is more then just hanging themselves at this point. I'm imagining them... Swaying softly in the breeze at the end of said noose, in a dead horse costume screaming 'Pinata Party!'

Microsoft are really that stupid I'm afraid. Its the only answer to the idiotic business decisions they have made with regard to the X1. Its a case of consumer be damned, MS are under the impression they're bullet proof and that most of their 360 community will move over to the Xbox1 regardless of what they do, big mistake. In the long term its going to lose MS a fortune.

So if your internet is poor or non existent please use an outdated inferior product for your gaming needs, how charming.

    So much over reaction.
How many people these days are not connected to the internet when playing a game?
    Try playing Defiance offline.

Plenty, even in many first world countries internet speeds and availability are awful. It can be as bad as to vary from street to street. Then there's the rubbish certain ISP's pull, my friend had to change his ISP after they kept disconnecting him while playing on-line at peak times. I used to work all over the UK and would often take a console with me to play on during my off hours, very few of the places I stayed in had internet.

The next Xbox has a 1.5mb requirement also. Which may not be so easy for people sharing their internet with multiple people. Or for students who have shared internets with a huge amount of people.

    That may be so.
Simple fact is everyone in a forum for a MMOTPS or whatever does have an internet connection, yet still complain about needing to log in once a day.
    Seems a little strange.
Playstation Store, Xbox Marketplace, online multiplayer and online co-op, good luck enjoying any of these without a decent internet connection or any of the other new features on the PS4 and Xbox One.
They sign into their profiles everyday when they play, talk to their friends, download demos or watch game release videos.
It is a minority who would spend $500 odd dollars on a new console to play offline by themselves.
Fact is we buy new consoles to enjoy all their functions not to buy a single player game to play offline.
