    We are still getting the server timeout message on start up!!!!

    Can't trion just reset the server or something. This is getting old.

    Me too. On XBOX 360. Can't get past the Character selection screen, and it connects to the server when it prompts for your characters. The exact message says "Your connection to the DEFIANCE servers has timed out."

    Possible Solution! Though a server side solution would be nice to solve for everyone and to prevent this from happening.

    I just unlinked my Ego Account from my console and re-linked with a new code.
    After unlinking and relinking my console, I immediately got into the game the next time I tried.

    Prior to doing this, I had tried logging in this morning and tonight about 20-30 times continuously getting the Critical Error about connection timing out.

    Hope this helps you guys! I know how frustrating it was/is!

    Tried that and it didn't work for me plus it was a royal pain in the ***. We, as consumers, shouldn't have to go through all this crap when we purchase a game for 60 bucks.
    When they sell us the game they are selling us something that is supposed to work right??
    If on the front of the packaging said, "Game may not play on most days and its going to be broken for several months after release" How many of us would have bought the game then????????????? NONE!!!!! But instead they cram this amazing game that is supposed to be associated with the TV show down our throats and after we spend our hard earned cash, we get a broken game.
    Now I know there has been a lot of talk about lawsuits and refunds and normally I would think that is just crazy, But with all this crap and the game still being broke, along with the lack of respect for there customers and keeping us informed, I wouldn't doubt there is a legal way of doing something.
    Its just getting so damn pathetic at this point.

    I agree. It has been reported by others to have worked for them.
    Apparently not a solution for all, but at least an option to try that works for some.
    But I agree it's aggravating and would expect such issues to have been worked out well before now.
