Currently Blinking green means your teammate is taking fire. It also means they are dead.
I would like to be able to easily distinguish what is going on with my teammates.

I'd say keep the green cross for when theyre taking fire. Make a new icon for downed players all around. Something like the Arkfall symbol, with distance and direction, but you have to be closer in order to register it.

Yea, keep blinking green for taking fire, but need something different when they've twisted their ankle.

I think thats where most games got their downed player image, except for the few that have them belly-up lol
