Not sure why people would think it should come out when we no longer have a show to feed off of - they have to release DLC during the downtime to keep people interested.

I'm starting to think that the people who complain about the DLC don't understand the marketing behind this game. It's running with the TV series, therefore it's understandable to assume that the DLC won't release until the first season of the show has ended, just so there's down time and so perhaps the game can influence the show, because as of right now it's just been the show to the game. Not to mention there have been sweepstakes/rumors of Ark Hunters showing up in the series' future.

On a rough estimate, 5 DLC's confirmed...6 seasons of the show. Working them in between each season. Makes sense.

Haven't heard that one. Must have been when i was under my rock. Stil hold true, just limits my theory on the series' length. Though I hope it goes that far, I rather enjoy it.

Lol it is all good. I miss stuff too. But anyways, I can't see the game getting passed season 2. Especially after the games that were showcased at E3. Trion will have to make a hell of an effort to compete with those games. I recall several MMOs, all looking very beautiful and far more ambitious than that of Defiance. At one point, I could see this game going far. After sitting through all of this for two months... I don't see much else going on

Meh. Destiny hasn't done anything to impress me yet, the "gameplay" trailer didn't show much of anything...TESO and The Division (PC version better be announced) are the only thing that'll pull me away though I'm sure I'll end up coming back for every DLC.

Yea DLC was stated to be released shortly after the game launched and then it got pushed off cause of bugs and actually going live issues. Supposedly we are to be getting 5 DLC's this year alone, but at the rate its now looking to be just 1 if that. If we get 5, that would be almost 1 per month to the end of the year. I also have a very displeasing manor about how Trion guys were all excited and was going to be in this for the long haul, Nathan was posting weekly things about what was going to happen and his thoughts on material. Now look at us as players, not even a good two months in the game and they fire most of devs and our executive producer has already stopped blogging about the game, our DLC is way past due "according to what was stated at the beginning of the game release." Come on we need new content Trion, this is getting to be ridiculous. It just seems like we are stuck and not progressing any more.

Okay, if that's the case, then iam quitting this game immediately!
They promised DLC at launch week, they promised 5 DLCs before the start of season 2.
So how the **** can the push DLC back for 4 months and then have only 5 months left to release the rest?
That's RIDICULOUS, what kind of jack-*** is in charge over there?
You need to spread your DLC over time a little bit more, each DLC (from i read the content was) can keep you busy for another month, but this game won't last another month, certainly not 2 months untill we reach the end of July.
I convinced my brother to start playing this game because it's something refreshing and new, but even he noticed after playing a week that there is ALOT of content missing from this game that should have been in it by now!

Trion, one tip: If you can't release the PVP DLC due to bugs and imbalance, then release the f*cking PVE content first, because PVP is being hated by most people atm anyway!

This is also one of the reasons i didn't buy a season pass, because i was too sceptical about the DLC, since it wasn't already included from day one like they promised! Seems like i was right to listen to my intuition, Trion doesn't deserve my money if they can't keep their promises!
If they thought Sieges were going to keep us busy untill the end of July, they'd be sadly mistaken!
