Weapons are like that for balance reasons.
So what you say Daymarr is that the only reason why the wepas have EGO rating on them is for game balance?
That would be ok, if they didn't have all the same stats on them.
Like higher EGO rating weaps we found would have higher stats than the ones we find in the begining.
Which is not the case so far.

Just a suggestion but if you push right on the d-pad you notice it says "leave feedback" put it there as well that you want to see more impact of stats instead of coming to the forum (which may or may not be read) and just rant. Put your suggestions in a medium that is at least respectful and it may get noticed.

Yeah i think that's more like it.
Like the higher the EGO rating on a weap, the more opened mod slots they have.
But one thing is for sure so far, i saw some EGO 300+ with same exact stats as some basic weaps they give you during tutorial.
So there is no real difference ( stat wise) between high EGO and low EGO rating on weaps.

Actually the higher your ego the more weps you can find Im ego 636 on ps3 and Im just now finding cluster grenades and new weapon variations theres a reason for higher ego rating 200 is the first threshold next is 500. Damage does increase btw I guarantee you at ego rating 5k you'll be doing a good chunk more dmg than your starter wep.

Still that doesnt explain why is the number needed on the weapon itself.
It gives peopel the wrong impression of rpg item level which it clearly is not.

This is a discussion on EGO rating stats on weapons Lily.
I am also an Alpha tester on the Alpha forum, Senior Member and i quote Dizzy (Dev) :

"We are reading every single threads and posts on the forums, almost day and night thank you guys, as it is very important for us to get all your feedbacks"

A discussion is not ranting, this one is very respectful like always, and these forums, Beta and Alpha, are our mediums, as for the community and they are being read every single day by the devs.

I did not say that, I was implying that a weapon of EGO rating of 500 is the same stat wise of a weapon of EGO rating 50 is because of balance reasons.

They scale way better and start to get more slots to be able to put stuff on it.

If you wanted to give that weapon to a friend they'd have to be that power rating to use it.

That is the main point Fiox, why do a friend would need to be lets say ego 500 to use a weapon i give him or her which has the exact same stats as an ego 50? What makes the ego 500 so special? I just have to give my friend the ego 50, and thats it, they are exaclty the same.
