First I was like, it sucks. I want to have über powerful stuff when I'm EGO level of 3694 compared to <100 level. But I like the idea that I don't need to switch my guns all the time due to getting more powerful guns every other second (Like in Borderlands 2, I didn't want to start liking some weapon, or gear, until I was lvl 50 because then I knew I wouldn't get better weapon soon)

Also as the guns and gear itself ain't getting better with more EGO, it's the skills and perks that do. They also help those guns and gear so even though they make same damage you will do more critical, get ammo back, faster reloads etc.

I do hope that there's some cool looking weapons which are available only for EGO rating of 2000<, for example.

The mode could be called "Hardcore". Serious skill based matches.

Nothing about PVP is balanced. Rocket launchers kill you in 2 shots. Infectors home....are you serious? Point Blank shotgun does NOTHING, cmon ok fine its beta but IM CERTAIN these will go unchanged, at least not until AFTER I bought the game.. Don't be fooled. There can be item scaling and balance together tools, when Im EGO 1000 I don't want to be just as weak as EGO 50.

How certain are you? Enough to bet real money on it?

the base damage/reload/etc on the bottom of the stats box will not change without mods

above that as the ego goes higher is a 2nd box, and other bonuses start to flesh out like reductions in reload times, less bloom, less recoil, etc.

ego rating goes to 5000. 1-300 ego rating boost to weapons is not going to be major.

the devs have said that pvp is an afterthought and not the focus of the game. if you are only h ere for pvp you should probably save your money. look to planetside 2 or some other shooter.

you do need to switch your guns. go to your stats page.

weapons level up. each one has a cap. as you reach that cap your skill in that weapon appears to stop levelling until you replace it and leve up that weapon.

as your ego rating increases the base stats stay the same, but you will see another stat above like recoil reduction or bloom reduction that the lower ego weapon did not have.

Are you serious? Where Do I mention im only interested in PVP? wtf is the whole point of keeping weapons balanced if PVP is just an afterthought? Your quoting me and comment to follow holds no merit whatsoever. kthxbai

Higher ego rating just means you have a greater chance of rolling or finding weapons... with added stats, mod slots, added effects..... some very small variations in damage.... remember its to make the game feel... balanced... in PVP..... since its a shooter and not target lock timer based attack system

if you haven't bin watching.. you'll see as ego climbs... newer items.. with those added benifits.. will be added to the guns you can get..... and if your real lucky you'll find guns with multiple stats, most guns can get stats added but only by adding mods.. or by filling the EXP of requirements that will unlock random stats

so to cry about a system you haven't took the time to understand..... Please go back and take a deeper look at guns rather then just the Base dmg counter
