Okay I have a really good fiber optic connection (45meg down and 25meg up). I have played this game and have had some great games. I played some player era player and just straight wrecked some fools. Well when I play black ops 2 I get straight wrecked. I will unload a whole clip into someone's backside to only have them turn around and shoot me once right in the head.
Where am I going with this? Well the cod games use a heavy lag compensation system to help people with garbage Internet connections compete against those with an awesome Internet connection. Since this a server game and not a peer to peer game line 99% of Xbox live games, are these people having issues the ones who are using a wifi connection across two floors while their dad is watching your tube, mom checking Facebook and their sister using iTunes to listen to justice beaver?
I have a feeling this may be the case. If so that is awesome because this game is basically saying " hay quit stealing Internet from your neighbor". Sorry I might be a little annoyed with the peer to peer mentality that M$ has forced on us xbox live users.

It is server issues. lol.

Today I was playing with 3 friends, me and one of my friends had barely any connection issues, but the other two had huge lag and disconnect problems.

You could say it is that their internet isn't as good, but regardless, we all play other MMO games together without issues.

So yeah, I blame the server / game.

Google has come out with a new Internet that is hitting something like a gig down and a gig upload it is only available in the Oklahoma City area I think but yes it is a new Internet setup look it up before you troll me. They tested it about four years ago and were able to download the Beatles library from New York to Japan in under 2 minutes.

As to flowerpowder, well what us your connection speed? Are you in the country a long way from the actual ISP providers hub? How am I actin like a god when all I am saying is that there are a lot f people on Xbox live who have a lot of sub standard Internet connections that think everything works fine when they are playing black ops but when they get on a game that doesn't give them am advantage they can't play that said game. I am not saying that there might not be a problem with trion servers but OCR again if you read my original post I said "they are stress testing their servers this weekend to see what it can handle". That means if you have a crappy connection like 5megs down and 1meg up you might have issues.

This game runs off server, like YOU said, which means the users connection only affects the user. You only connect to server.
Most games (your 99%) run Off-Host, where a user becomes the server.
P2P is rarely used because, well it sucks.

This thread makes no sense.

They are stress testing to see if they can handle volumes, the amount of people that can play at once without issue. Not peoples connections.
