I think that the only real misleading was that the game was ready for production. The game, to be totally honest, released as an early beta stage that has, again being totally honest, not advanced beyond.

The number of bugs, especially in foundational game aspect, is totally insane. We have Arkfalls which bug and will not clear crystals. We have missions which bug and will not clear. We have rampant cheating in PvP. The social aspect of the game is non-existant due to one of the most horrible UIs I have seen. Almost every aspect has huge issues.

To compound the problem, Trion seems incapable of making competent decisions (really, spending 3 hours beyond the scheduled patch time to force a broken patch out?) and are totally incapable to releasing a patch that not only fixes what they say it fixes, but does not break 2+ other things in the process.

TL;DR - The misleading is that Trion has competent staff and delivered (or even maintained) a market ready game.

I bought the Season Pass for DLC so that I wouldn't have to buy it each time it came out, and because it was at a huge discount.

At no point was I mislead as to what I would receive.

    That is my honest answer.
    I agree 100%

dont know if this was mentioned but they both may be tellin the truth when it was said it was done but postponed for bugs that could mean that all the content is there but there are bugs with the dlc its self that had to be stomped out and when the other guy said it was being finished up that could be him talkin about ironing out all the bugs in it so there is less to fix when the dlc clashes with the content we have and causes small ants of bugs that people will come on to the forum and swear they are the the size of the starship troopers bugs (wow my lil joke there makes no sense)

What is the big hurry to get the DLC? There are way too many bugs to be fixed as it is. Putting out a DLC before these bugs are fixed will compound the bugs, even if the DLC is bug free, which it will not be. The more program content you have the more time you need to test when making any changes.

But i have to wonder if this wasnt the case all along. So was all the dlc coming soon and its been post poned for bug fixes just a smoke screen ? If so that is a dispicable way to conduct buisness.

It looks to me ( and this is only my oppion) That they used the dlc as a carrot on a stick because they knew the content was way shy what it should be at launch. And so they used dlc to keep people in the game then blamed its delay on bug fixes. While knowing all along it wasnt realy slated till after season one.

And its even been said by the powers that be the 1rst dlc was finished and just waiting for bug fixes that they had already began on the second installment. Yet to hear richardson they are just now finishing it and polishing it off.

And i realy dont mean this to be a rant i am seriously wondering so was we misslead on pourpose. As its easy to see it that way. Or was it just a series of bad luck? With thier utter refusal of any real info or any hint to questions people have been asking since the get go its hard (atleast for me) to believe this was not a planned out scenario from the start.

Would realy like to know what others think. And i ask for honest but respectfull answers we have enough flame wars on here . But this is something i take very seriously. Not getting patches and things right is one thing, But intentional miss leading your player base again for me is unforgivable.
Yes, there has been a few things Trion has tricked us with in-game.

So why the sudden back peddle or the statement by the head dev that it was just now being finished up.

Wouldnt it have been better to be honest about these things from the get go rather than talking around it?
Well, even the paranoid CAN have real enemies. AND sometimes there is real conspiracy behind a Conspiracy Theory...
But I think what you are reacting to is what forum members SAID was Trion's plans and then becoming upset when Trion reveals their plans to be different from what the forumites have been saying.

Of course there is bugs. Beta can never catch everything because they have only a small fraction of the amount of people that end up playing the game once released. Also they need extra time for patches on this one because it is over multiple systems which need the patches tweaked to correspond with their system. I have played far worse, and this game is still enjoyable.

Why can't people enjoy what we have been given? The elemental hellbugs make it fun, and they seemed to have ironed out a hell of a lot of things already

Some people are satisfied if they order steak and get chicken from an eatery. They will say they do not mind and eat the chicken with a smile on their face. Others expect what they ordered.

Sledge and others prior to launch when asked the release schedule of the DLC stated that it would be as far as three months but no more than twelve months from release.

So an April launch, puts sometime in July as the earliest time, and before next April as the earliest. Now that means with the show running up to the end of July-ish that DLC will hit after Season 1 and continue release throughout Season 2.

Now if that is not soon enough for some, then you should have paid attention pre-launch. As for any duplicity I can't imagine there is any as everything said prior and post launch all lines up with what is happening.
