Agreed. It seems that people have no idea the scope of work something like this is. its kinda sad how whiney people can get.

    2. It is called a beta but I believe this is an alpha build of the game.
    3. It is a beta, they are not meant to be perfect.
    4. Microsoft had nothing to do with the beta except for maybe some of the initial sign in issues.

Now that the issues that I dealt on Friday with are gone, not being able to sign in and lag, I can confidently say I am not worried in the least and will happily pick up my collectors edition on the 2nd.
lol you're an idiot if you think that the PC and Xbox betas are the same. Ive played both and i can tell you that the PC version is different in every way. and i did change my preorder from xbox to PC just because i hated the way it look on the 360. and that fact that it froze on me during a major arkfall.

Eh, ever consider that perhaps they realise exactly the scope of work something like this is? which is why the become concerned when the game client looks like its 6+ months away from being ready?

Honestly, You'd be naive to belive all or even a majority of these issues will be ironed out by release, based on what we've seen from the current build.

Personally I still plan to buy the game, but I for one can totally see why people would be cancelling pre-orders, infact I would advice it if you have any doubts, based on the current beta, it is much better to wait a few months until the game is actually done, and then buying, rather then souring the experience by playing a unfinished game.

Well you see some of us learned by past events that's just because they say its a beta doesn't mean it will be fixed for final release. EA did that with 1st Medal of Honor and last November they did it again with sequel Warfighter. Some people were saying the same things this dude you quoted ! Whaaa idiots its a beta whhaaa it will be fixed ur stupid, guess what happened.... **** got fixed fast forward 4-5 months nobody is playing it. Besides that Patches on Xbox are not free ! And I'm 100% sure Trion is not gonna feel like spending $40k with each patch just to keep up with PC build, most likely they will have collective patching which means weeks of waiting for Trion patch and then more weeks of waiting thanks to Microsoft for their certification process ...

Wrong my non experienced MMO friend. You mentioned DCU:O but failed to mention DCU:O has a larger player base on the PS3 than the PC. You also failed to mention the 360 currently has more pre-orders than the PS3 or PC or the face the 360 has not had an MMO since FFXI.

Wow, more 'stupid' people spouting people are stupid to cancel basedupon a beta.

'they are too stupid to play the game' - Why's this? Did they mention they can't play the game?
They are cancelling as they believe the beta is close to the finished product. They are unlike alot of us who watch the livestreams and know the progress it has gained. They use alot of their hours in a day doing other activities they would rather do.
'The game will be better off without them' - so this game will be better with less people. Seriously?!?.
These people are like the majority of us, we lack information. Instead of saying childish arrogants remarks, tell them that they should think a bit more rationally, that this is the beta and should approach their decision based on improvements shown int eh alpha livestreams. Should this fail, tell them either wait for reviews before making any rash decisions, or if they do cancel keep an eye on the game.
They will most liekly pick the game up again, but not if they believe everyone in the game is the same 5 year old 'i am rlly smart so I can wise crack' player now associated with call of duty, even though most cod players are really decent.
I know you lads who believe these people don't belong in the game, but I could go on to say the same about you. Why would I want to play with someone like you. Shouldn't I get to know you first before I say something like that?

Non mmo experienced? I've been a active mmo player for 15 years buddy boy.

Actually DCUO on PS3 HAD more players on ps3, before it went f2p, Then again pre f2p, there were under 1000 active players per pc servers at any given time, so not really suprising ps3 had more players at one point.

As for 360 having more pre-orders I havn't seen any actual numbers in regards to that, or even estimates, but even if it is the case it means very little in the long run. not to mention there is always more of a rush to pre-order for consoles as you need the actual disk, not just a client.

As for why there havnt been any mmo on the xbox since FFXI, I already touched on this, the lack of social tools provided by consoles..

Just FYI when I mentioned FFXI and DCUO, I was obviously talking about consoles in general, I am well aware dcuo was not released for 360.

That said, If it turns out to be most popular on xbox360, cool.

I agree,i have never understood why people claiming to be fans of a game that relies so heavily on population would say there happy for people not to buy it.Its bad for the game, its bad for the dev's and it paints a bad name for the community of that game.
    Happy Hunting!

Wrong again, and I have been playing MMO's for 15 years with this same gamer tag, it isn't hard to find my stats. The 360 not supporting MMO's had absolutely nothing to do with the lack of "social tools". Every MMO that has attempted to get M$ support has failed due to M$ demands (aka $$$), and there has been a lot. Since you talk like such an experienced gamer and keep pulling these stats out your *** I'm sure you can find the pre-order numbers. You don't need someone like me to do that for you. I'll give you a hint though, google.

Still trying to beat first mission without freezing

I have been playing the PC Beta and it is extremely fun! but every time i try to play on my xbox it either freezes or only loades 75% of the game and i am being killed by invisible monsters or cant see things that i should! If all else fails i will switch my pre order from xbox to pc.

I would rather be able to play on xbox though sledge has said that the freezing will be no longer a problem; i just hope that if i do get the xbox version and it continues to freeze; gamestop will let me trade my defiance for the pc version.
