When playing the game I go to the Vendors that you have to have reputation to purchase items and I notice at the very bottom they sell titles and I was wondering are there perks to buying these or are they just decoration?

just for looks, it shows over your head and other players can see it.
Then why spend 1000 reputation on something that pointless lol?
If you don't want the weapons in the shop then what else are you gonna do with the rep? Nothing. Might as well grab it just because you can.
No way..it takes forever to save up 1000 reputation points. It's ridiculous that a stupid worthless title cost that much. The contract vendors need a severe overhaul. It takes quite a bit to save rep up, so it needs to be worth it. I'd like to see a change to the system. How about adding guns that are vendor specific, and you can only do contracts for one vendor, as gaining favor with one lowers favor with another. I'd love it if we could get outfits, shields, grenades, mods, synergies, and weapons that are specific to that vendor and actually gives you a specific look and weapon loadout. The contract rep takes the longest of any currency in the game to save up, so why not make it really cool and rewarding? Just some thoughts.Originally Posted by WhiteF8ng

Yeah I have to agree. It seems like the Vendors that require rep in order to purchase things are pretty much pointless. I honestly think the only thing I actually bought from one was a Purple Saw. I guess we will see in the future if they change things up and make them have more of a role on things.
Titles can show progression too, most of them come from achieving some pursuit and not all of them are easy to get. They just take time. I have ravager and commando so far, they are weapons based and take lots of killing to achieve. They don't really mean anything, but it can show where you up to in game.
The purchasable ones, just extras really. I have 2 from hidden vendors but no one is sure what one means... i think. Haven't attained 1k rep with anyone yet to buy the others. Its not like scrip is a problem after a certain lvl.
As for the rep weapons, its nice to know there is somewhere you can always get a purple SAW, I mean... i went 2k levels between game offering an FRC SAW in vendors so having that Frontier one available was always nice. Didn't buy one but thats not the point. Also bought a Pulsar from a rep vendor as it was only place I had seen a purple pulsar up until that point... i like that gun. They also good for cheap greens to use to lvl up skills, but you can get similar in other places.
its all the way at the bottom of the list, in the special vendors... rookie! That was for you SAM...
The titles don't mean jack when you get one you like. I've been the Giant Killer for a while. Screw that Hero of Paradise crap!
