What I posted is in no way a fix, it's a clunky workaround. As a programmer you should be able to tell the difference.
I really doubt that this problem is caused by lag. Not only does it never happen outside of FY, I have a pretty solid and stable connection and still get hit by it from time to time. It's possible that it happens when the driver is lagging, but in this case it's still not a problem with MY internet if I'm in the turret.

I got permanent poop shoes just yesterday... not the visual but the slow effect. I stuck to just driving roller and doing road kills that time... after I died 2-3 times while being permanent poop shoes it returned to normal.

unfortunately it's not only slow it's also 50% damage multiplier . Also ghosting / dummies are not cerberus only - you could have them while using any vehicle etc.

And, this is the annoying part, they are actually vulnerable. I can't tell you how many times I've walked up to a trio of floating players and check them out, then blast them away and get a triple kill. This has happened to me as well plenty of times, were I will be out of combat with the Cerberus, and ill randomly die from a player who is across the map that has stumbled upon my counterpart. I also believe this also has to do with the bodies being dragged behind the Cerberus as well.

Please post your thoughts as well, this needs to be fixed.

Yep, happens all the time. To the people in the Cerberus, everything looks just fine, but others see a group standing idle and attack and it kills people in the Cerberus. Also, sometimes the driver or passengers/turret guy will be lagging behind the vehicle for an easy kill. But, it also does this with the ATVs and with even just one person from the Cerberus-you'll see someone standing somewhere and can kill them.

And as Hiero Glyph said the Cerberus can be invisible or won't render, makes no sound and runs you over from the front. I absolutely hate PvP, due to glitches and player crap-the perfect storm of stuff I just don't want to play. You couple this with other random crap the game does, like players on my own team that can kill me with a grenade (not some exploding barrel, but throwing a grenade at me in TDM) and people using the Cerberus to crap on their own team (blocking the spawn building's door or destroying all the ATVs at the team's default spawnpoint), and PvP just isn't fun.

Y'know this Cerberus and poop boots thing is something even I would join the club to say needs fixing, and I don't even PvP.

Use blur to get rid of it. This is a known effect of the Incubator infector in PvP. It's used just for that because first off it kills you or gets you killed, persists after you die, and you need to die again to switch to blur which might not be your preferred EGO. And as KBob said, a damage multiplier. It's used especially in Cap and Hold.

And since you and I have spoken before, here's a new fun item in PvP-cloaked blur and cloaked overcharge. Cool, right. Someone has figured out how to use two EGOs at once. This is special.

I like the glitch where you see the passenger being dragged behind the vehicle on a bungee cord.

I also have killed multiple couples standing out in the middle of nowhere. Rather sad.
