I'm guessing whatever you do, it isn't reading. :P

And, no, I don't teach English. However, I'm an author with several works, including a Star Wars comic, under my belt, so I think that's a decent enough equivalent.
Your understanding of English, and it's composition, could use a little work, Mortimer.

Your statement implies the parents should face a consequence for their children's actions.

Lastly, shouldn't that be "of several works" ???

Good job, "teach", thanks for making me laugh...

The parents should "have consequences," as in they should have a disciplinary structure in place so that there are consequences previously set up to deal with such poor school performance in their children.

I know you'd rather not look like a dolt after the first comment, but, please, you're making yourself look silly now.

If it were the parents in need of consequences on themselves, I would've used the word "face," not "have." The concept of "having consequences" as what amounts to a parental toolkit has been educational parlance for going on three decades or so. (Parents "have" consequences, rewards, and "variable timing," if one were to use the nomenclature of the research going on around the early 1980s. I believe it was in Pennsylvania, but it's been a while. It's at the core of the parental component in just about any teacher education program in the late 1990s and early 2000s, which was when I was getting my undergrad degree.)

If I were saying just "an author of several works," yes. However, I said "I'm an author with several works, including a Star Wars comic, under my belt . . . " When using the phrase "under my belt," it's "with X under my belt," not "of X under my belt."

So your deficiencey is apparently in the categories of syntax and comma usage, it would seem.

Lucky for him I would have gotten an *** whipping and all my electronics sold. It's happened before I was grounded a whole summer no TV, no friends, no nothing. All I had were books. Oh and that wasn't the worst of it either. They all went to chucky cheese without me!! I didn't even fail I got a D+/69 lol which is failing in my family. That was in 4th grade social studies class. Did I learn my lesson? You bet I did. I shut my mouth sat down and paid attention.

At least you had D's. My students have only four options: A, B, C, or F. There are no D's in this part of Georgia. How's that for pressure?

I traded in 3 games and got $62 of the way there. That's good enough for me to justify a $90 messenger bag...unless it's plastic...then I'll be pissed and probably break my doll...I mean figurine
